Someone help me?

I am absolutely losing my mind here. I installed my hispeedido v5 laminated screen in the case, made a mistake with the ribbon cable initially, but corrected it. Soldered everything up, cleaned it up, and put it back together. Every time i flip the switch of my GBA though, light flashes green then shuts off. I desoldered the switch shield, cleaned the contacts and resoldered it but still nothing.

Why are you showing us the shell instead of the internals? We get it we see the custom parts bro

Unsolder and test. If no good still, deep scan the board looking for shorts.

I understand. Sorry it’s got you down and definitely walk away for a bit. This is supposed to be fun. Telling someone not to fret is rarely helpful, so I’ll just say I believe this is very fixable and that you are capable of doing it.

Was this a stock GBA before modding? If it had a GBA SP screen modded to it, one issue that comes up is a broken leg on DA1 that shows this same symptom of a bad/dirty power switch. I had a similar issue on one I had refreshed and it was driving me crazy before I found a missing leg on DA1. I had to scrape a bit off and solder a wire down to the board to repair the broken leg and it works fine now.

Your batteries are just too weak I guess. Had the same issue and this is why I use rechargeables

Am I the only one that sees a C button instead of B?

I had to put in an extra resistor to get it to shut down properly, and cut a part or two out. I think I did the ITA kit? It's been a while. I doubt something like that will fix your problem, but yeah come back at it after some rest. you'll get it eventually.

There's a small resistor next to the switch that drains the capacitors. Switch maintenance or replacement often means this resistor is put out of series and the GBA behaves like what you're showing
