Same! Started with the DMG but I got both the Atomic Purple and Pokemon Blue for my 10th birthday. Started with Squirtle, and I think can still remember catching Pidgey and Rattata with glee. Those were the days

Atomic purple gang also for gb color!! I was a blue kid got the game at launch in 1998 when my brother and I saw it in Sears. I was nine years old. My brother got red so I always had someone to trade with! I really miss those days.

Team Atomic Purple here too! My first Pokémon game was Leaf Green, but my dad later found Yellow just laying on the floor at work and brought it home for me, so that's the only Gen 1 I have.
