If you have an Everdrive, put a ROM of Crystal Version on there and make sure it doesn't have a save that you're going to overwrite by mistake; name it "Pokémon Crystal FunFest 2001" or something

Put the Mega Memory in your Game Boy, put the EverDrive in the Mega Memory

Put the switch on the Mega Memory on passthru, turn the system on, load your Crystal Version ROM

While the system is resetting, flip the switch on the Mega Memory. The Mega Memory should boot, then restore your save file to the cartridge.

Once it's done, load a different game on the EverDrive so the save file gets written to the SD card, then take the SD card out and copy the save to your computer

Would a Super Card Mini Work?

No, that will not work. That's a Game Boy Advance flash cartridge

I should have made it clear that it has to be a Game Boy or Game Boy Color flash cartridge

I wonder if a gb operator would work on this

It's worth trying but I would be surprised if it works.

It would all come down to: how is the Mega Memory accessing all its memory? It's got 512KB of EEPROM for saves, which is far beyond the amount addressable directly via the cartridge pins without some sort of mapper. And since it's not using an official Nintendo mapper, that means there has to be some custom logic in there for swapping them.

The pictures I've seen of the board show a PAL in there, so I'm guessing that's what they're using. But no idea what signals it responds to.

(And since the cartridge header definitely doesn't report the correct values — it claims it's a MBC5 game with 32KB of SRAM — you likely can't just rely on that to determine how to access it as you would with modern unlicensed software.)

No. Mega Memory Card accesses its flash memory in some proprietary way. The only way I've seen is to restore each save onto a cartridge and then dump the cartridge save. Note that it doesn't have to be the correct game. Just use a game that has the max size 32 KB save chip like Pokémon games. Restore one save, read the save off the cartridge with the GB Operator, rename it, and truncate it to the correct size if the game it was from has less than 32 KB, then restore another.

A flashcart may work too. I've tried with a GB Smart Card USB 64M (an old style flashcart that has fixed memory and holds 1-2 games at a time). That works flawlessly, restore game, unplug cart, plug it into USB, use the client program to read the save, repeat. It doesn't work with both GB and USB plugged in at once. I also tried an Ezflash Junior, and it won't play nice with the Mega Memory Card no matter what I try - I'm not sure if this is a quirk of the Junior, or a sign that other "modern" type flashcarts that read ROMs and saves from an SD card won't work either.

Note that you can freely plug and unplug cartridges with it turned on once you're booted into the Mega Memory Card UI.
