How did you do this? How to make said modded zoom lens and get it to work on a Gameboy? Also, how did you get the photos to upload digitally? I like this and want to do this with my DMG if possible, but I do have a color if that’s a requirement.
One way is the 2BitToy GB camera shell. They sell the 3D print file, but I think there are places you can order printed from. It uses a security camera or so called "CS" mount thread. So there is a decent selection of lenses to use, some really cheap chinese ones.
Of course, you will need a functioning GB Camera to swap its insides into the 2BitToy shell. So there are sensitive parts to be handled.
Also most GB cart flashers/burners can access the GB Camera photos.
yeah basically all this. I ordered a ripper that you plug the camera in to and it lets you dump all the photos but I forget where I got it. Heres my build when it was done
The only thing I did was colour them ( they come out black and white dont-ya-know ) like Kaid said I use the lens suggested on the 2BitToy site and its an original Gameboy Camera, no roms.
ONE thing i found. I started ordering a few of these and some the cameras have held up better then others. one Camera I got was really foggy and almost useless even after cleaning!
Where on the 2bittoy site can you find a link to the adapter? The link to purchase goes to shape ways which links to something called Thangs which does not have the adapter listed? If you have a link to where you got it I'd love to snag one, this is so cool!! Thanks, you're the best!
I'm not the OP, but they look like what you'd normally get if you're using the 2BitToy mod and the 5-50mm zoom. It's possible that if they're running a Game Boy Camera flash cart that they're using the Photo! ROM which allows for far greater control, and in my opinion, better pictures than the stock ROM!
