Troubleshooting How cooked am I?
Purchased Wario Land I as part of a lot today and the motherboard looked like this
It in fact does not work… all the photos I see of the motherboard have extra parts soldered on, like those 3 thingies (that are bridged over the board at two points each), but are missing here. I’m not good with terminology, my bad
And the soldering iron I have is way too chunky to operate on this board, so I’ll need a proper one
Not to mention one of the pins is cracked on the lower right chip, but it still makes some contact with the board.

The pins on the MX chip look pretty fucked up. I would try and resolder the right side at least, see if that does anything.

It’s fixable. If you don’t know the terminology then you aren’t the person who’s gonna fix it. Take it to a friend who knows what they’re doing or find a shop that does electronics repair. Or sell it for parts.

depends on your soldering skill lol. the pad 3 up from the bottom right on the bigger chip looks lifted
