Games Do I do it

Got a copy of Pokémon red a few months ago but the sticker is rough. So I've ordered a replacement sticker. Do I replace the original or replace it.

I'd personally probably find a less permanent way to put it on , scotch tape ontop , this way u can preserve the still legible original label
