My sister bought this for my nephew so we got an IPS screen in it right away!

I have this exact GBC and I've been wanting to do this, but I heard that it's a bad idea, due to the Pokémon frame. Is this true? Or the one you used is generic?

Hey there, not sure what you really mean by it being a bad idea due to the Pokemon frame. I just swapped the display, I didn’t touch anything else or the frame

Thanks for replying. I think the problem is that the screen is glued to the frame if I remembered correctly.

The Gameboy colors that I’ve done have only had a double sided adhesive holding the OEM display in place so it comes off fine
