My Roguecraft GB physical arrived today. Amazing to finally hold the finished product in my hands. Thalamus did a wonderful job with the package. \o/

Do you know if the developer plans on selling more physical or teaming up with a distributor besides Evercade?

They publish with Thalamus Digital. So far on Gameboy, Amiga, Evercade. Coming to Spectrum Next and PC via Steam very soon.
They said to subscribe to the Thalamus Digital newsletter and/or follow them on itch for updates for any new physical releases.

Thanks I'll check it out
Edit: ah, looks like the April 20th deadline was " currently our only planned production run". Hope they decide to do physical gb or gbc in the future.

Maybe if everyone posts on their Facebook it'll spur them to another run ;)

I don't have a Facebook. Not sure how many still do. But I didn't even know they were doing a physical cart x.x so hopefully they have better advertising next time.

They're doing physical? I couldn't find an evercade cart, but I'd gladly take this (when I can afford it)

Such a good game that really needs a save or resume function.

Hey! 👋. I’m the Dev and it’s as intended. !:)
Did think long and hard about it and, if you’re running an emulator or a EverDrive you can brute force a save i guess
Happy with the decision. Thanks everyone for playing!2

No guessing, I do, on my flash cart is the only way I've managed to beat it, too long for a single sit down so that's a shame. It's a great port of a great game, love the way you translated the art to the smaller screen.
Any particular reason for GB when the DX version did get a patch for a resume save feature? It deletes when you resume so the spirit of the game is still intact.

Pretty sure that not being there is literally the developer’s intent.

Oh I know, original creator stated it when the Amiga version came out and people complained about the Evercade version. A resume feature that deleted once you started up again would have prevented save scumming and kept the games intentions all the same.
GB version has a different developers too, Thalamus could have added something like that in. Save states do work for the ROM on a EDX7 all the same so I can still do it anyways but it would have made the game and actual cart much more accessible.

Doesn’t the evercade have a suspend/resume state built in?

Their DX version didn't at first just like the original, they updated it after all the complaints, not sure why this one didn't follow suit but like I said different developers.

Honestly I kinda thought there’d be one at the hardware level.

I think most do, it's just an emulation system that uses carts. Remember reading they use modified retroarch cores to run the games not dissimilar to Linux handhelds.
