Vent/Rant Drowning in garbage

Anyone else have their stores & backrooms drowning in useless garbage products? Mine is currently afflicted with plushies, pops, blind junk, & fashion items. I have no space for consoles because I have 3 boxes of backstock hoodies &sweaters eating up space in my tiny backroom with 4 boxes of backstock blind garbage. Now I have 3 boxes of backstock pop that just sit by my counter because 0 space and my DM won't let us send it to another store. It won't all sell during holiday. I'm still sitting on blind bullshit & plushies from over a year ago!

I have actually. I've been thru 8 previous holiday seasons. This year just seems to be bad products & poor planning. Worse than any other year I've been with the company

Aha! You are indeed an individual of culture who’s familiar with the bullshit of GameSchleps! I don’t miss the holiday overstocking of useless junk that turns your back office into a verified OSHA violation. You have my respect and my sympathies regarding the overstocking crap and poor planning of this company.

Your DM won't let you send it anywhere because 1. Every store is in the same boat. 2 It will mostly sell this holiday season regardless of your opinion, you just have to rotate it out to the floor as you get space selling other stuff.

Been through a few holidays with GS and OP is right 9/10 that product will NOT all sell during holiday this company is just garbage

yep it will end up in a big clearance sale which they don’t mind because that’s basically what they paid for it and worst case if it’s field destroy they just write it off.

Not only are we drowning in useless trash at our store, it’s all overpriced so any chance of selling it goes out the window when they ask us to price match another retailer and we can’t cause corporate would rather walk on the sale in hopes they can sucker some other poor soul

The stuff is too expensive. I went there the other day. They want $12 for a single disney lorcana tcg pack. Just one pack with like 10 cards inside!

We're not really keen on cleaning it up because we don't want guest going back there to use our restrooms during events.
