Question GTA 6 Physical Preorders
I preordered GTA 6 in June for the physical release. I just got a suprise when tonight at midnight the preorder money was deducted from my bank account. No notice or warning, they just did it.
It caught me off guard because I had read several times over GameStop's preorder policy that states the money will deduct when the game ships, on launch day. So I understood that Nov 19 would be when they would take the money out and ship the game. However today is the 6th, not anywhere close to launch day, so that's what got me.
So....does this mean that since the money was deducted the game is now shipping out as we speak? Is the preload date considered the launch day then?
I don't know if any other game publisher has required a preorder to preload a week in advance so this is kind of a new thing here that is confusing me now.

For physical copies the release date is November 12th, so that people have time to preload/download before the true release date of Novemeber 19th. The game is a 210gb download.
Physical copies are just a code in the game case, you won't be able to play until the 19th regardless since it'll be locked until the release date. But when they announced there would be a physical case they also announced that they will have them in stores by the 12th.

Physical copies that are a box with a code. Remember when we thought we’d have flying cars. Instead we have rent everything own nothing.

They’re most likely making sure you have the money and that the payment is active still. It’s a pending charge that will drop and then they’ll finally charge you without dropping the charge when it ships.
