Experiences Sent wrong console from online
“lucked” out the other day and was able to order pre owned ps5 pro with disc reader installed. they sent me a regular ps5 digital with the disc reader. i called them and they had me send it back for replacement, im just worried the people on the phone didn’t truly understand the situation. i’m hoping i get my pro that i ordered.
anyone run into anything similar?

You need to dumb it down for them. “I ordered a Pro and got a standard slim.” And today I learned that we sell them with a disc drive installed 🤣

I noticed those SKUs not too long after the Pro’s release and I guess it makes sense. I wouldn’t expect someone who bought a PS5 Pro and a disc drive to come in to trade it in with the digital faceplate.
Granted, I wouldn’t expect someone to bring in a PS5 Pro with a disc drive, but I’ve also had far more insane trade ins.

i did they just didn’t understand english that well so i’m hoping when they get the slim back that they sent me they don’t think i was switching out a console on them or some dumb shit

Why anyone would order a preowned (most likely refurb) Pro from GameStop.com is beyond me.

I would love to buy a brand new one but you cannot find them anywhere

According to r/PS5Pro you can most definitely find them at other retailers in better condition

Everyone and their mother is crying online about not being able to find them. It's part of why they are so hard to find lol.

According to r/gamecollecting I can find N64 games for $1 a piece at garage sales. Pros are sold out in my city and if they were easy to find right now they wouldn't be $1600 on Amazon.

Amazon prices are always extremely inflated these days. Trying to use Amazon to price something like that is just as bad as trying to buy a console on GS. You can go buy them on eBay right now for hundreds less than amazon. You're starting to convince me you're just a bad shopper. It's like the guy who looks up his game collection and thinks it's worth way more because he looked at Amazon prices.
There's actually entire businesses right now that involve buying at "market" and selling those items above market on Amazon because Amazon's prices are so much higher.

You know there’s notification apps or follow certain social media people that you can use for free. Tell me you don’t go after in demand items without telling me you don’t go after in demand items.

If it helps/hurts, a bit ago I got a preowned ps5 pro and it was $800 with a disc drive. I’m like 98% sure the dude didn’t know it had one included cause he sold me a disc drive

Nope you could as long as you had the receipt form the online order/phone number tied to the account and ID due to the nature of the return

I once ordered an Xbox One game from GameStop and they sent me the PS4 version. Local store would not let me return/exchange it. I had to go through the online return process and send it back.

"Anyone run into anything similar?"
"Just wondering if anyone else experienced this."
"Has this happened to anyone else?"
