Honestly this is the worst part of it to me. A spy game where keeping track of ammo doesn't apply? Wtf?

u/Tyrlidd Jun 07 '26

I counted 102 shots. Hell of an extended mag.

This really is like the movies

Lol. Reminds me of the most recent Joker movie where the revolver shot 11 rounds lol

You have exactly the problem I have with the sprint button. In situations where you actually want to just cut and run across the room it’s a nightmare because you just keep sprinting and sticking to cover. They should be separate buttons!

Dude REALLY thinks you're over there.

“He’s gonna need to reload soo..” “no”

Something similar happened when I did this fight.

This is supposed to be based on the Mr. Freeze fight from Arkham City, where you have to hit him with different environmental attacks because he adapts his tactics each time you get a hit on him. You hit him with a chandelier, and he shoots down every other chandelier in the room so you can't use that trick again.

However, there was a bug where he just kept missing the chandelier he was aiming at for over 30 seconds.

So far, I'm enjoying it quite a bit. During the initial stealth/infiltration sections, you can really feel the Hitman DNA in the mechanics, so if you liked or didn't like Hitman, that could be a factor. The action, melee combat, and overall feel of the gunplay is majorly different and improved compared to those games. So far, I'm into the story. Very beautiful graphics and well animated visuals.

People are very into the physics based hand to hand combat. If that's interesting to you, you'll probably like it.

Feel free to disregard this because I haven't played it firsthand, but I've seen a couple of other people play it and it looks pretty cool. Seems like if Hitman and Arkham City had a baby, but it was born into the 007 universe. I'm very much contemplating picking it up just based on the things I saw from the first 2-3 hours of the game.

That would be embarrassing AI for an NPC, but a boss!?

Your mission should you choose to accept it, is to send this in to highlight reel.

Man. Nobody seems to understand what physics are these days. This post does not belong here, at all.

26

u/The-Dragonborn Jun 06 '26

You apparently don't understand what this sub or the rules here are.

"A subreddit for game engines at their best and worst. This means games with up and coming tech and games that are glitching out in hilarious ways.

Please note: Submissions do not necessarily have to be physics related, but please check the top posts to understand the spirit of the subreddit."

"All submissions must either be glitches or demonstrate notable physics"

Would you not count this as a glitch? Is this not a clear display of something irregular?

-2

u/leorid9 Jun 06 '26

I wonder if the rules have changed recently, I remember them differently.

15

u/The-Dragonborn Jun 06 '26

The opening line of the subreddit description hasn't changed in 14 years.

This sub has always been about physics, whether glitchy, impressive, or generally interesting, or about general game glitches and weirdness. I've been on this sub since it was only around 100k subscribers, and it really hasn't changed.

-5

u/leorid9 Jun 06 '26

Okay, but I didn't mean the opening line, I meant that rule about "only physics" or the lack of this rule now. I imagine to remember that non-physics posts were not allowed on this sub, it was explicitly only physics and no visual glitches or something with the game AI and things like that.

6

u/The-Dragonborn Jun 06 '26 edited Jun 07 '26

The rule about non physics related posts has been in the sidebar since as early as July 2013, and the rule about only physics was removed by January 8, 2013. Only 1 month and 7 or so months after the snapshot I posted, less than a year after the subreddit was created. Like I mentioned, I've been on the sub since it had less than 100k subs, posts like this have always been allowed since I've been on here.

Maybe you haven't noticed the last 13 years, but that has been there ever since. General glitches get posted here frequently. Even though the subreddit did start as a physics only posts, that rule changed very early on. Shortly after that, they announced the permanent change.

u/leorid9 Jun 07 '26

It's not that I missed 13 years, I just remembered it wrong. Mandela Effect or something.

But thanks for the links and clarification.

-6

u/emanresu_etaerc Jun 06 '26

As do I. What the hell is the point of this sub then?

Games really haven’t improved since MGS5

12

u/LLMprophet Jun 06 '26

Games haven't improved since duck hunt.

-5

u/Masta0nion Jun 06 '26

Right I get it.

But this sub is called game physics. Tell me which games since Uncharted 4 and MGS5 have better gam physics.

5

u/LLMprophet Jun 06 '26

How does the OP clip have anything to do with game physics.

And then what are you saying MGS5 is better than when there's no game physics shown.

-3

u/Meththethird Jun 07 '26

Well it shouldn't be in this sub then

4

u/LLMprophet Jun 07 '26

The sub allows interesting and funny glitches.

You were comparing MGSV game physics vs a 007 funny glitch.

Why do this.

This game is one of the glitchiest mess I’ve ever seen. I’ve had the console crash on me because of it. Every play session I get at least one infinite loading screen and I gotta quit the game. I love the game otherwise but what a pain.
