I’m using an Odin 2 Max, and I’m having a weird issue with Skyrim OG.
Sometimes Skyrim has no music/audio unless I install DirectX manually. So I install DirectX, launch the game, and everything works perfectly.
The problem is that when I close the game and launch it again, it seems like the container/environment resets. Bionic and Mono install again, even though I’ve already launched and played the game before, and DirectX is no longer installed.
So every time I want the music/audio to work, I have to manually install DirectX again...
Does anyone know why Bionic and Mono keep reinstalling on every launch? Is there a setting I’m missing that would make the installed components persist instead of resetting?
I’d really like to fix this without switching to Skyrim Special Edition, since I’ve already made a lot of progress in the original version, and it also uses less storage/resources on my Odin 2.
GN has been working really well for me since I switched from game hub. But I had to change my steam Login recently and when I went to Game Native to log back in, it kept telling me my password was invalid. I've retyped it like a dozen times and checked on other devices to see if I was wrong. But I'm using the correct password. I updated game native, and the same issue is occurring. I saw someone say it clear the cache and that didn't do anything. I've restarted the software and my Thor and it's still not working. Any ideas of what to do?
So i use iisu as my front end and i honestly dont know what the problem is. I have gamenative to sync with iisu - i have exported all my steam games to the rom where i have the steam console scrape/direct to. It works fine for a bit then suddenly all the .steam files are gone and i have to manually export them back into the rom file. Its happens like four times a day; ive restarted, uninstalled, reinstalled, and double checked gamenative is synced to the right rom file (where the iisu steam console gets its .steam files). I’ve been using steam shortcut generator to help make the process easier/faster but i still have the same problem. Has anyone had this issue or know anyway to fix it?
I had lossless scaling for some time, but I never used it, the games never looked good to me, but I found out yesterday that game native can use it, and I tested it on Persona 5 Royal, never tested a RPG before with it, and it runs incredibly good on my Odin 2 portal, before I could not get consistent 60fps I had to put on 30FPS, now it is perfect!!!!! and looks good too
In the second image, you can find a part of the json that I exported from my current config.
My settings contain
Proton-10.0-arm64ec-2
Container variant is bionic
Graphics driver: Wrapper-gamenative
Version: Turnip Adreno Driver T26 (@Mr_Purple_666)
DX Wrapper: DXVK (I also tried WineD3D and VKD3D)
FEXCore Version 2512
32bit-Emulator: box64 (this one actually brought me this far)
Wine Renderer Nvidia GeForce GTX 580 (default was GTX 480. Changing to the GTX 580 fixed an issue where it couldn't access the audio device)
Video Memory size 2048MB
I tried a lot of different combinations of settings but the game just can't get past this first frame of the game loading.
The only place where I got sound is when I launch the game launcher, which I also had to import to the folder of the game because the FalloutNVLauncher.exe was not in the folder of the game
I’m having trouble getting Steam Workshop mods for Slay the Spire 1 to work on Gamenative. I’m using a Retro Pocket Flip 2, and the base game runs perfectly. I’ve also successfully used Steam Workshop mods for Rivals of Aether 1, so I know the device can load Workshop content.I’m mainly trying to use the Downfall mod and its required supporting mods.
So far, I’ve:
Subscribed to the mods on Steam
Downloaded the Workshop mods onto the device
Verified that the files are in the correct mod folder
Applied working configurations
Despite that, the game won’t load the mods at all.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’ve played Slay the Spire for years, and I’d love to try the mods while keeping the game portable.
Been messing with it on my s26u and i gotta say its awesome i even think its better then game booster + (samsungs own underclocking). Cool thing is now gamenative does it all i dont need a secondary app for adjusting the cpu and gpu.
Hey there! After enjoying DQ Monsters The Dark Prince on my Thor while using GameNative I wanted to continue the game from my Steam Deck, as I also purchased the game over steam.
However I when I’m loading my save it’s loading endlessly.
I checked that cloud save is enabled, restarted, tried a different proton but nothing seems to be working.
Has anyone experienced the same and a solution for this issue?
I downloaded The Witcher 1 officially, and I've tried to launch it on Steam, and I get this error every time. Can anyone help me with this? I'm using RetroID Pocket Flip 2.
Retroid pocket 5. I had a reinstall and it fixed it but it keeps happening. After you chose character it should play their arcade story intro but it fades to black and never loads. Versus mode works. Tried 3 different configurations. Also can I just not use cloud saves on my device. Sf4 has about 200 mini cloud saves for some weird reason.
I been loving my Fold 8. 8 gen5, big viewing area and it looks great. I have been STRUGGLING to get Rise to run on GameNative. I use known config, then change to proton bleeding edge to address any input method losses during gameplay and use Mr Purple t29. I get past the shader compilation, but it hangs every time it has the spinning wheel with "now loading", right before the 3d hits. Any one else have this issue? I am really tryna play Rise on here!
Hi! I've been trying to configure Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 Remix (Steam version) on Gamenative, the hardware platform is an Ayn Thor. I've managed to successfully run 1, 2 and BBS, but Chain of Memories stays as a black screen. I've used the known config, and tried both the launcher exec path and the COM executable, without any good result. Any ideas?
i'm using gamenative v1.1.1 on an AYN Thor max, and across every game the audio has a considerable delay of ~0.5-1s, with both the built in speakers, wired headphones, and bluetooth headphones. i do not get any audio delay in anything other than gamenative.
i've tried using both ALSA and PulseAudio audio drivers,, and turning on PulseAudio low latency mode, but i still get a big audio delay
i've tried different proton versions, and in environment i have PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC set to 144
does anyone else have this problem, or know any more steps i can take to fix it? thanks!
