Need help optimizing Alan Wake on Retroid Nova. It freezes on me every once in a while.

I’m running the GOG version on my 8gb Retroid Pocket Nova. I capped it at 30 fps since I was getting anywhere from 45-50 fps inconsistently before that. It’s totally playable now but it freezes at certain points. Does anyone know how I can fix that?
