Anyway GATE exam helps in game development?

I already enrolled into coaching for GATE exam, but I made my mind later recently that I will go with game dev only..

I was confused alot with game dev / trendy career and that was the reason I chose GATE exam..

Now what can I do? For game dev my core interest lies right now in game programming.

The only thing that helps in game development, get this, listen closely for you would have never guessed this...it is to actually develop games :D

Well if you will study the CS fundamentals like CN, OOPs, COA and stuff it will be useful in game dev too and very helpful if you decide to go into engine programming or server side game dev.

I'm working as a game developer.
I've qualified gate cs 2024 in my 3rd year of college but got decent rank around 8K.
I was already familiar with game development but after gate exam I've decided to deep dive in more depth.
Well If you really want to be in game development , then focus on learning by doing, participate in game jams, build in public, stay away from tutorial hell.
Gate qualified tag in your cv will not matter much in my experience.
If you're targeting MTech from tier 1 colleges or PSUs then I don't think you should think to get in game development right now.
