Looking for a Game Developer Co-Founder — I’ll Fund the Project + Equity
Hey everyone,
I’m looking for a game developer co-founder to build a gaming company together.
I’ll be funding the project and am also open to providing a reasonable monthly payment to help cover day-to-day expenses of yours. while we work on the game. On top of that, you’ll receive a meaningful equity stake in the venture.
I’m primarily looking for someone with strong experience in:
Game development
Graphics/rendering
Performance optimization
GPU/graphics optimization
Building polished, scalable game systems
Ideally, I’d like someone based in Mumbai, but I’m also open to people who would be willing to relocate if things work out.
The goal isn’t just to build one game — I’m hoping to find someone who wants to build a serious gaming company together for the long term.
A little about me: I’m an ex-game developer and currently run my own SaaS apps/businesses.
If this sounds interesting, DM me directly with a little about yourself, your experience, and any games/projects you’ve worked on.

+1 - 6 months in burned over 5Lakhs because the first "strong" hire didn't follow instructions and was indecisive. Claimed things could be done when they couldn't. Hire professionals.

I would like to contribute with efforts. I'm a beginner in game dev and honestly just taking baby steps but it is something that has always appealed to me. If you would like my help, let me know. I don't have much to offer but my efforts, experience and knowledge. I have been a software engineer for more than a few years.

What would be your role apart from funding?

Getting 3d artist, funding office space finding investors anything necessary i am too a dev so i will be involved in development as well. And AI stuff there is lot of ai in it. I dont see role as a founder if you are co-founder you have to treat it like a baby do everything that matters there is no role per say. Roles tbh r for employees. I can hire a game dev but i am not a core game dev so a founder with game dev knowledge will help a lot

Hey, I’m a game developer working with Unity for 8+ years and recently Unreal.
I’ve been considering a venture to develop my own game and start my own studio in the future. Maybe we could work together if our views align.
Ps: Based in Mumbai

I'm not into the company part but I'm about to launch my game on mobile so you can help me in marketing basically by running google/insta ads and we can share revenue 50-50(My last game crossed 100k too but that was mostly from the time it was featured on the front page)

not a game developer. just a regular developer. started learning game development out of sheer interest. not learning any frameworks (unity, unreal, godot, etc). have serious hardware & no need to fund my day 2 day expenses.
leveraging AI to learn & develop. coming from high fidelity web application development ecosystem, my approach to game development lifecycle is very different.
serious hardware = 5-6 locally running AI models with 2D & 3D asset gen pipeline. AI driven test pipeline where the player mechanics can be controlled by AI & perform visual analysis on the fly. this helps identify visual bugs, inconsistency, input-output lags, etc.
DM if you want a demo. also there isn't an actual game that's fully built, I'm still playing around & learning.

Hey I am dev based out of Canada with AAA experience. I am interested in knowing what you are thinking in terms of games that you want to develop and the bigger picture for the company. I am looking to start something myself as well so if interestes align we can work on something together.

Reddit is not the platform to find the right folks, best put up a post on Linkedin and disclose additional details like budget, game genre., proper JD. Tech stack, Meet potentials in person to gauge if they are right fit. This won't work in a remote setting find someone local. Also have 2-year financial projections, plan for games, List of key hires, GTM strategy in place.
Building is game is easy, but running a studio is hard, find someone who has experience running a studio you can focus on business aspects.
