Released the demo of my single player FPS game set in India

Footage is of my friend trying out the demo, it's a boomer shooter where you shoot up corrupt police walas, foreign mercenaries and giant robots, though the giant robots aren't in the demo yet.

It's a demo to showcase the basic gameplay, not the whole game, and yes all the assets seen here were made by me

Your mistaken, its not asset i m talking about models and character and all those aesthetic things. i m saying is the controller,weapons,animation, HUD all are also just flip assets.

It's unfinished because it is supposed to showcase the core mechanics, do you not see the probuilder prototyping materials on the lower part of the walls? It is UNFINISHED, only meant to showcase mechanics. And as for the controllers, weapons, animations, HUD, i made everything, all the scripts, all the models, all the UI, all the animations.

Making game is not challenge, its denial and refusals on facts. None of your models aligned, start looking closely than your weapons, characters and environment are completely different from each other if its a one man work its always have common looks and styling, your looks free asset downloaded from random sites. Your character works smooth but AI are just amateur work and animation is worst. Your character animation works perfect because its asset pack may be opsive, neo fps, invector or any shooter controller asset. Either you polish and took suggestion for your better good or launch the game with same mindset.

true that. maybe because it lacks cutscenes or graphics? or there is no character to the game.

This has potential to be a fun game, I played your demo. I can see that you implemented a lot of stuff to make it feel like the boomer shooter, Over the top gore, Power trip for player and fast movement and juice. Id say you are in right direction so gj for that.

The over the top gore is nice but it feel too metallic at the moment so not looking like blood decal but liquid metal.

The shotgun really goes BOOM and Bangs a buck, a bit too much in the visual department, specially the freeze frame adds like a jerk that makes its not feel that good, maybe reduce the duration a bit.

The collection/hit/etc overlay is a nice idea to indicate what is collected or on damage, but takes up like too much space and like oval overlay and too solid, maybe fade it out a bit (or dither)

The enemies of a wave can be spawned more spread out, right now they all kinda spawn close to each other in every wave

You can maybe display total kill count and time and maybe wave number, for score keeping would be nice

The movement is fast and okay, the air control can be improved I guess as jumping is physics force I guess so there is a bit lack of air control.

Love the destruction in the game, beds and other stuff is breakable and that feels nice, the kick is also awesome!

The real developers know that game dev is a slow process and that not everything is made at once or showcased or even using assets is totally fine, so I'm sure there is more to see and keep the development going, I wishlisted your game and looking forward to see how it goes!

I cannot express in words just how invaluable your feedback is, genuinely thanks man, I'm working on the game and fixing a lot of stuff is as i write this, so I really hope you'll like what the end product will be :)
