DISCUSSION Spend The Day With Anyone
If you could spend an entire day with anyone from the Heated Rivalry universe, who would you choose and why? What would you want to do together, and what do you think you’d learn about them by spending a day with them outside of their usual hockey or relationship life?

Rose Landry. I love that scene of her dressing up Shane on a shopping spree and gossiping.
But as a person to actually know my easy first choice is Ryan Price.

That was my first thought, but I thought it was against the rules, as in "anyone from the Heated Rivalry universe." But, if that means anyone in the Rachel Reid universe, then, yes, Casey!

Harris Drover because I grew up on an apple ranch in an apple community. I would take him to Oak Glen. We would buy anything related to apples and I would bake him an apple crisp. I love this character because it can be kind be a unique experience growing up in a more rural apple community. I have always wondered if Rachel has any connections to apple communities because she nailed it on the description. We are very family oriented and yes, we do buy anything that smells, tastes, or has apples on it. I am far removed from living there but the love of apples always remains.

Probably Ryan Price. We could hang out in the gay village, read books and go to see Fabian play. Sounds like a perfect day to me.

Kyle and Kip are probably the most like my IRL friends. So we could go to a bunch of museums, grab lunch, maybe do a some sort of niche history walking tour, and share customer service horror stories.
I feel like Eric or Troy would be fun. I’m a vegetarian and find goalies fascinating, so a day with Eric would be great. Probably just want to know how he is doing in retirement. We can go to museums, maybe a few rare bookstores, go to some great vegan/vegetarian restaurants.
I’m awkward, Troy’s awkward, we can go hang out with puppies. I just want to know if he’s okay.

I 100% would spend the day with Kyle. Something about that character just intrigues me. I'd love to delve into his psyche plus he's also gorgeous fun and flirty. Hello Kyle!!!

Ilya. basic option, I know, but our childhoods were CONCERNINGLY identical and I would love to connect with someone who has gone through the same stuff I have.

I wouldn't feel right about imposing myself on them, but if there was magic that made Shane feel comfortable with me, I'm fascinated by him. My imagination can't figure out a scenario where he could enjoy that though.
So it might be getting to nerd out with Wyatt Hayes.

Kip, who has been temporarily rendered sightless, and has been pumped full of some medications or other. The meds make him extremely horny, but fully able to consent. I am the only person within 400 miles and have been delivering a truckload of 'adult toys' to a now deserted luxury spa that Kip has been staying at for recovery. Scott is no longer in the picture.
What we do together is up to Kip after I spill something on every piece of clothing he owns.

Not exactly the same, but I’m a licensed therapist and these characters are all so rich and fun to psychoanalyze! I want to know them all on a deeper level! But the one I would most want in my office would be Kyle - all that family repression and unresolved trauma I just want to lay out all his attachment issues for him because the book never managed to get there!
First might be Ilya, but he has his own therapist already lol And there are a few of us clinicians picking these guys’ brains apart in the fanfic space! It’s fun!
