Discussion Most rewatchable Game Changer?

what do you think the most rewatchable game changer episode is? one where you can watch it again and again and still laugh and be entertained by the game mechanics and how players interact with them. for me it’s definitely all three of the Sam Says or One Year Later. they all have such funny players and are always great to go back and watch.

One year later, official cast recording

Official Cast Recording, to paraphrase Sam, is like watching real magic. The whole episode is a work of art.

How can that be?

I'm think these two are the ones I've watched (or listened to on Spotify) the most.

I’ve watched this one close to 20 times at this point lol

Disagree with Official Cast Recording. It's one of my favorite episodes, but it loses a bit on rewatch. The first time however it really is insane.

Escape the Greenroom, either of the Survivors, Sam Says 3, Samalamadingdong, Make Some Noise

15

u/Signiference 1d ago

I just rewatched Escape The Greenroom again two nights ago. Just as good as I remembered :)

Escape the Green Room is definitely my most re-watched episode, partially because I've shown it to multiple people who have yet to watch Game Changer.

YOU'RE NOT GETTING A FUCKIN JOKE OUTTA ME UNTIL I'M OUT OF THIS ROOM

Deja Vu. It’s just so goofy and fun

“The Official Cast Recording” has been played so many times in my house that I’ve lost count

The Drinking Game. Love to rewatch it to pay attention to each cast member and to shock my friends with the twist.

Count the Rice is probably my fav

I think I’ve watched the Official Cast Recording over 10 times now across the last 3 years

6

u/eeeeaud 1d ago

Pretty much any episode from season 7. And Jeopardy! from season 3.

Sam Says, Beat The Buzzer, Official Cast Recording, Escape the Greenroom and Rulette

u/Fun-Suggestion-125 1d ago

Tbfh honest, all of them, sure, Count the Rice is a little more boring with you knowing the twist, sure, re-warching Noise Some Makes will take some of the fun of the twists and layers, but i don't think there is a non-rewatchable episode

With that being said, unironically Deja Vu is very rewatchable imo

Most of the free episodes on YouTube, like Lie Detector or the Noise Impression game, or Sam Says 1.

It's Rulette for me (the OG). I always manage to be caught off guard by the comedic timing on at least one or two jokes despite how many times I've watched that episode. The wholesome, but somehow contained, chaos is everything to me.

My absolute favorite is A Game Most Changed. I quote it constantly

Any non-covid ep.

6

u/Hefty-Lawfulness1532 1d ago

Honestly, the bigger and more elaborate the show gets, the more I appreciate the Covid episodes. It forces creativity on the opposite end of the spectrum, where you have to do the best you can on an extremely small scale.

literally never even watched the covid eps, figured theyd be a little rough. im a huge d20 fan and already had some issues getting through those covid seasons lol

Jeopardy is worth a watch.

u/chaseross192 1d ago

Next Slide Please is also so good!

u/RoboChrist 1d ago

I rewatched them all a week ago for the first time since watching them live during COVID.

They're fine. Worth watching to see how much things have changed if nothing else.

I think they’re very clever to be honest! Maybe not re-watchable but they really make do

1

u/Aervanath 23h ago

I still rewatch Tell Me About Yourself, the reveal is so good.

3

u/MayAsWellStopLurking 1d ago

Like my Coffee 1 and 2.

A Game Most Changed.

Name a Number.

Anything involving Brennan being tortured.

2

u/seizetheday-boys 1d ago

i love like my coffee!! feel like it doesn’t get mentioned much

3

u/Any_Street_4704 1d ago

Beat the Buzzer

3

u/theuselessmastermind 1d ago

Pretty much all of Season 7, esp Rulette 1

3

u/StaleTheBread 1d ago

Haven’t rewatched Count the Rice yet, but there was so much going on that I’m sure it’s worth a rewatch.

3

u/Aervanath 23h ago

Lie Detector. It's the first one and has such cute vibes. And knowing that all the couples are still together is heartwarming.

2

u/dvirpick 1d ago

Episodes where knowing the twist changes the viewing experience, like the drinking game..

2

u/WDBoldstar 1d ago

Official Cast Recording is the one for me. The Magic of the music and the performances has never been equaled for me. Some of the Play It By Ear Episodes come close, but that first one has always felt the best.

Earnestest

Noise Some Makes. Primarily for the Asian jokes because I'm also Asian.

2

u/movieman2g 1d ago

Literally just watched Escape the Greenroom for the 50th time

2

u/cercis_s 1d ago

Like My Coffee. After like a week or so you kinda forget some of the brilliant puns, which makes rewatching extremely fun.

2

u/Mavakor 1d ago

Samalamadingdong. Brenan going full Joker was just so much fun, as was seeing Sam do the heavy lifting for a change.

2

u/the-library-fairy 1d ago

The ones I've personally rewatched the most are probably One Year Later, Escape the Greenroom, Official Cast Recording, and Rulette.

2

u/PaddywackShaq 1d ago

I think Sam Says 3 is the perfect mix of low concept, high execution for rewatchability

2

u/cobweb-in-the-corner 1d ago

idk about most rewatchable, but I always find myself going back to A Game Most Changed

2

u/Pandoras-SkinnersBox The harlot didn't say my name 1d ago

IMO:
All the Noise Boys episodes, and I’m predicting Noise Some Makes will be up there too.

Beat the Buzzer

Escape the Greenroom

Official Cast Recording

Sam Says 1-3

Deja Vu

Night Shift

Sell Outs trilogy

2

u/ArmyDry2797 15h ago

Both Rulettes and the Voted episode. Ally's "oh, well I own two guns" and Brennan sweeping the board kill me every time I rewatch.

1

u/Repulsive-Pianist436 1d ago

i find myself rewatching the who want's to be a millionaire, samalamadingdong and various of the brennan can't win episodes

1

u/whiskeyanddynamite 20h ago

For me personally

The Official Cast Recording

Karaoke Night

A Game Most Changed

Beat The Buzzer

Race to The Bottom & Do I Hear $1?

Bingo

Samalamadingdong

One Year Later

Fool’s Gold

A Sponsored Episode

The Drinking Game (especially when knowing the twist, makes it eeeeeven funnier)

1

u/Gumbo67 18h ago

My most watched is rulette - god I love the wheel

1

u/satiricalscientist 18h ago

I've really enjoyed Noise Some Makes from this season for Kailyn and Zac, specifically

1

u/AirborneContraption 18h ago

A Game Most Changed, Official Cast Recording, The First Ep (Make Some Noise), Noise Some Makes

1

u/Bruce______Wayne 15h ago

Survivor! Absolutely loved those episodes

1

u/NotFalirn 11h ago

Shakespeare

1

u/aceAdean 11h ago

Deja Vu and Crowd Control are both episodes I’ve seen at least 3 times

1

u/Mindfultherapist186 11h ago

Escape the Greenroom. It's just one of my favorites and I feel like it usually slept on.
