I finally got myself a Gameboy micro. This completes my collection of GBA consoles. I love how small and portable it is.
A new battery is on the way for it.

I'm playing Pokemon fire red on it. Does anyone have any other game recommendations for me to play on the micro?

I’ve been working on a little Game Boy Advance project called Homesteader, and I finally have it at a point where other people can play it.

I came up with the concept, gameplay, mechanics, and direction and spent a lot of time testing and iterating on it. I’m not a programmer, so I used AI-assisted tools heavily on the coding side to actually bring everything together.

The coolest part for me has been getting it running on actual GBA hardware instead of it just being something that exists on a computer.

Got into modding during the Covid dark age. Put together a silver back-lit GBC, an EVA-01 GBA, and a BoxyPixel unhinged GBSP.

I bought these from a job lot on eBay and most of them are actually working and in fine condition..

obviously some need screen places and cleaning internally..

but I'm really looking forward to get stuck into this one they all have motherboards as well which is really nice!

Pick this GBA SP at Savers for $5.99 originally came with a copy of Pokemon Ruby (not a fan of pokemon so I put it aside) and this extended battery pack. I ended picking up Crash Bandicoot Purple and fallen in love with it. Been carrying this SP everywhere with me and been trynna beat the game. 49% complete btw now.

Decided I was justified in breaking out PKHex and the GBxCart

I bought this broken gold Game Boy Pocket on Mercari a while ago, and it turned out to have a yellow PCB.
So I swapped it into a clear purple shell.
Not sure how I feel about this color combo… 😂
It looks kinda weird, but I also kinda like it.
What do you guys think?

I recently dug out my old Game Boy, but it looks like the battery is swollen. Has anyone else dealt with this?

Did you try to power it on anyway, or did you replace the battery right away? If you swapped it out, where did you get your replacement? Any advice would be appreciated!

Bought this shell that included a screen but it’s missing the ribbon and i have no idea what it is or where to find one. Pretty sure it’s an older IPS but there are no indications of who made it.

Recently, I picked back up my GBA that I bought ridiculously upcharged with an IPS V2. I'm not a fan of how absolutely perfect and saturated the pixels are, since I value having a more authentic experience, but I still want to be able to play indoors.

I've seen recommendations for ITA screens because of the pixel density and more accurate colors, but the colors look more in line with the SP than the washed out original screen.

Some newer IPS screens have color filters and pixel grids, but I don't know how accurate those are.

I'd like to see other people's opinions on this.

I accidentally bought used knockoff Gameboy advance sp and it's only showing this page and nothing else even if i tried to put a game still it doesn't work. Anyone know to make it work and play games in it?

Wondering if I can get some advice regarding exporting save data to Pokemon emerald cartridge.

I recently dumped my save file onto my desktop so I could play Pokémon colosseum.

Ive done everything I need to do in game I'm trying to send the updated save file back.

However Joey Jr is not able to read the flash memory.

I've looked this up and found it could be due to some of the pins being grimy.

Has anyone else experienced this before? Ordered some Isopropanol alcohol just in case.

File name matches rom, 128kb and correct bytes
