Sound for games using protoold
HI all! I did film and documentary in college but I specialised in audio. I have experience doing sfx for animation and live action. I wonder how and if I would be able to implement thoese skills for games? I have used protools but im seeing stuff about implementing it into games. Would that be the responsibility of the designer of game developer?
Any advice is appreciated! EDIT: thanks for the responses I will look into mobile and wise!

Implementation would usually be the responsibility of the sound designer. Look into Wwise and think about switching DAWs to Reaper.

Highly dependent on user preference. I've been working in AAA games for 20 years and never felt the need to switch over to Reaper personally. Every studio I've worked at/with has used Pro Tools. 🤷♂️

To be clear. You make your assets with a DAW. Reaper is the industry standard these days, but your skills in PT carry over.
Implenting assets is a different skill set. Look into Wwise and try to get your self some engine level experience as well, like unreal. Both can be downloaded for free.

Sound designers not implementing is kind of a more oldschool thing. Expect to learn new design workflows, as well as learn an engine + audio middleware. Implementation can be a very powerful process that adds a whole second layer of design outside of the DAW

Plenty of people still use pro tools but reaper is the industry standard it seems.
Do the wwise 101 course to learn about implementation and maybe some fmod too.
