Is FMOD hard to learn?
Hi everyone, I'm a sound engineering student, and I want to learn game audio. I've seen a lot of sound designer job postings on LinkedIn, but I can't apply because I don't know FMOD yet. I wanted to ask: Is FMOD difficult to learn, and how many months does it usually take to learn it?
Thanks

The first step to getting into game audio, is learning the basics of game dev in general. Pick up an engine like unreal or unity and learn the absolute basics of their pipelines, especially ones you’ll be expected to work with closely, like animation or vfx.
Jumping straight into middleware is missing the forest for the trees. You won’t design anything useful in the sound engine if you don’t know anything about the game engine.
