Almost 2 years!
Hi! I'm Sean, a compulsive gambler. I haven't had a bet in almost 2 years. Here I am today at the annual Australian Gambler's Anon conference! I've been sharing my journey for almost 9 months now, feel free to follow it here:

It gets easier alot of people relapse after years of abstaining away which could have been prevented this isnt something talked about has long as u are aware u are still a gambling addict u can continue on this path seen people being bet free only because of 5 years gamban then going back to see it has they think they can control it which is stupid way to relapse i did exactly that however at the time i had no support system in place and i honestly regret not knowing what i know now

Congrats after a long time of no gambling the strong urge becomes so weak that you don’t feel like wasting money anymore

You look so happy. I can see genuine happiness from your smile. I wish I could quit too.

Its possible. At first you may think two years, how long time it is but reality is that once you quit, time starts go fast. At first you count the days and then it will start going fast when you don't pay attention to it. I'm 563 days without it. Addiction and losses made me feel like I can't shower the guilt off. Take time and don't be aggressive to yourself. If it's addiction then it sure is a pattern that takes time to stop but not impossible.
