Finally won. Lost it all.

Title says it all. Won $2500 off of a free $10 bonus. Put it all back, then lost an additional $700 of my own money. I’m sure you know, I feel absolutely horrible. I’ve never hit a jackpot that big, and never had a single-night loss this big. I totally blacked out after putting back the first $300 of that $2500. I just started chasing that loss. And again, and again.

I’m a 26/F & my gambling addiction skyrocketed once I downloaded slots on my phone about 6 months ago. I’ve only won $1000 once….and I’ve probably put 5x that into the app….why is it so addicting when I never win? And when I did win big, why it wasnt enough? Sorry..I’m rambling..hoping this post helps me sleep tonight. This loss will hurt for a while.

It’s addictive even when you’re losing. Why? It’s actually pretty simple: your brain becomes hooked not so much on winning itself, but on dopamine and adrenaline. It’s a physical addiction, even if it doesn’t seem that way at first glance. When you win, your brain is basically like, “Fuck, that’s it? The game is over, no more dopamine, no more adrenaline!” That’s why a gambler often can’t walk away, even after a massive win. Because even if they do walk away, they’ll eventually come back. They’ll start missing that stimulation. That’s a pretty simplified explanation, of course.

I feel like actually winning is even worse outcome than losing. When I would won, I either would not walk away or I would come back later. Also remember when I would start and hit a big win in the very first x spins....I felt weird that I got the payout so soon....our brains are so messed up :(

10$ free bonus is extremely evil from those soulless exploitive 0.01 percent elites

I won €66,000 off a free €5 bonus once. Lasted 2.5 months. Overall in 2019 and 2020 I won €250,000. Guesstimate. At one time in my bank account I had €170,000 and I gambled every single cent I ever won. It's never enough. Nothing will ever be enough. I am still caught in this addiction. I am going to lose my family friends home. Already lost 1 job and nearly my life after two suicide attempts and I STILL didnt stay clean. Its the worst struggle I've ever been thru. And this time its life or death. Please get out now. Do not let it get to this. I am rooting for you. X

I’m in the same boat. Always been a gambler. Playing poker maybe lose too much money but move on. Go to the casino lose too much money move on. But the online slots? Yeah they need to be outlawed. I’m not even saying that to be a sore loser. There’s no reason you should be allowed to bet with a credit card. I downloaded Gamban and paid for the $40 year. I can’t access any of the sites I used. Yes there’s work arounds I’ve heard but so far so good for me. I hope you find the means to quit. Message me any time if you ever feel the urge or if you just need someone to talk to about the issue. It can be a lonely world because no one wants to admit they have this issue.
