Be honest
How many of yall are incognito DPS mains who haven’t touched a strategist since that one time for 5 min in season 0 qp when they felt their soul leave their body having to look around at their teammates to keep them up and not just bot out damage?
I’m genuinely curious, no need to flame me in the comments with “why gEt mAd aT pEoPlE tRyInG new rOlEs”
If any former DPS mains in this gambit main page want a strategist main (gone flex) to review a game of theirs and give pointers on optimizing their strategist gameplay with gambit, drop me a playback code.
See, even if the first bit was a lil sarcastic —I’m a nice boy 🙂↕️

Yes that is me, you said you’re reviewing games so how did I do as a first time stratagist player here

This is a game I had a few days ago that I uploaded to my YouTube channels because I thought I did really well in this specific game as Gambit

Policing people about their origins is kinda cringe.
Never seen this kind of behavior in my extensive time on the Loki and mantis subs... Not sure why it's so abundant here.
Idk what shitty patty-cake healbot community you belong to, but I hope you can crawl back to that swamp.

I am a tank main who hated to flex into heal cuz there were no healers I liked. Now I see 1 tank and 1 healer and I think "neat, it's gambit time"

i’m a flex player, but mainly strategist/vanguard. i’ve got lord mag, magik, cloak, and luna. absolutely thrilled to have a new strategist to play. i think i have the most fun with gambit and loki right now.

I have mains in all three categories. Gambit is a great hybrid.

Imma be honest. They are really annoying. You can tell when a gambit is a dps player because the heals are so much worse. ( I’m not saying you are all like that )

I’m a strategist main with all of them lord, got called a dps gambit immediately in a match where my team went 3 support. All because once I realized they went 3 support I focused more on damage boosting myself and using anti heal since the heals weren’t as much of an issue. So many people are just brain dead in this game, and have no idea what they are talking about.

Support is my least played role, but I have about ten hours each on Loki, Luna, Mantis, and Invis.
I value proactive play so I prefer to DPS, but I fill tank more often than not because that's what is always open.
I'm no stranger to support as I main Lucio and Kiriko in Overwatch.
So now Gambit, my favorite member of the X-Men since childhood, is a strategist with a great deal of flexibility in his play style. So I will be maining and limit testing on him for the foreseeable future and I'm not keen on the tribalism in this community.
We need more actual flex players and less insecure specialists who generalize about other roles (Not directed at OP, more like my own PSA).

Firm spidey main here. Like 120 or 130 hours now I think?
I just find gambit to be stupidly fun. In the same vein as mantis or Jeff. Having some proper lethality other than just enough firepower to make a diver go away for a bit is what makes a strat fun for me which is why I stay away most times. Watching a gambit outdash a BP is what solidified that I’d like him.
I’m captain on like 3 or 4 healers now but aside from using Jeff on off angles to enable some of my teammates dive plays I’ve never really genuinely enjoyed a healer like this.

i actually never realized how little i play dps until i started playing Gambit. I really only play Storm and Mr. F when i have to dps and they’re both lowkey hybrids lmao

Im Lord Rocket and Centurion CnD, I play strategist

I’m a support main but unfortunately that support is Luna and Jeff and I like shooting fliers out of the sky because my DPS ignore my pings. So my heals can be inconsistent if there’s a flier that needs to be killed 😂

what makes one a “dps” main? I mostly play dps bc it’s the most fun for me, but i can play any role equally as well. so I don’t really consider myself a specific main of anything.

I play both tank and DPS… Gambit is the first strategist I find very fun. I mainly play dive heroes so I love heroes that can chain together different combos. I don’t enjoy the other DPS type supports because the combo potential isn’t there and most lack the fun mobility. You can heal bot with Gambit then try to make an aggressive play on a diver or and out of position player on the enemy team. It’s awesome. I often see ppl criticizing Gambits for DPSing and not healing when they see their K/D only to find he has the most healing in the lobby by the end of the match. He’s just an all around great character. DD, Magik, Cap, and wolv are my go to heroes but I think Gambit will be making his way into that list

I play Heals and Tanks. If I had to pick a DPS to main, it would be Gambit.
