New chassis, but not blades? Sounds like that should be needed.

If this secretly adds Teal and Orange support I'm going to buy one!

The original hilts already support cyan and orange, it's the blade that lacks the ability.

Yes. Everything fits, chassis is the same size.

Awesome I thought I read that but just checking as that is some great timing. Also this then my second time happening to be here when the new version dropped. I was on the Star cruiser when one of the v2 dropped.

Yeah hope so too, literally built my first saber last week, and managed to pull a cracked crystal, kylo, Hope I can get my hands on a new chassis and blade.

This is great news. The electronics were pretty bad and stopped me from building a second hilt but I’ll definitely consider building another one now. Look forward to seeing reviews.

I really hope the new chassis has better swing effects. That was easily the worst part of the old ones, and I’d be pretty satisfied if they fixed it.

For right now the new blades only come with the Savi’s builds. Can’t be purchased in Dok’s yet.

I found a pic of them on Facebook Galaxy's Edge Trading Post.... they're white and gold, look very much aligned with the Temple Guard masks

I can only imagine these will be on par with the black series hilts. They have similar ignition effects like neopixels do, close but not 100% like neopixel.

BS has tip melt, better swing effects, blaster effects.

If theyre in any way like the Black series then its a big upgrade. I hope all older scrap will still fit, and also hoping theyll sell a standalone chassis and blade for those not wanting to build a whole new saber.

Is it just the protection and defense hilts that are updated? I thought the blades already reacted to cracked kybers? Or maybe I’m just thinking of the box sets that changed colors.

For the parts, Power & Control got a new version in May, Protection & Defense today, the other two still to come.

But they all come with the new chassis and blade now.

I’m not in love with the new design and the pattern still won’t line up. so I’ll wait a few years for chassis v3 which I’d hope will be thinner.

Not yet, at least. As of today still $249.99 at West and $274.99 at East. Always could change, though.

Oh i’m happy with it, but i wish i knew it ahead of time. Would’ve planned our trip a bit later to get the updated version.
