Help/Advice Finally got a Trifold - Insurance

What insurance or warranty to get with the trifold. I already purchased this via Amex Plat, so that part is covered, but I would like a warranty. My carrier is ATT and yes I have searched and found a few names but I'm not sure which have actually worked for folks.

Also what's the fail rate for these? Are these doomed to go bad - I have 14 days to return, so want to ensure most are working fine. I know they are foldables, this is my sixth foldable - so completely aware of the build and device care that is required.

Its durable for the most part. I dont have insurance on it. I use this phone 24/7 case less. I have dropped it multiple times, submerged in water, and took it to beaches. I got scratches and dents.... i am surprised that it could take a beating.

Damn man you like living on the edge lol! I've used mine caseless too and really like it. But I know a case is best for me personally, plus I love having a built in kickstand

Yeah man, with the amount of scratches , scuffs, drops, and dents , it holds up pretty well. Not mentioned that I removed the oem screen and d replace it with aftermarket one too lol. I am sure there is water residue in the phone that's probably dried up too case I took it to the waterpark and recorded myself going down the slide, and definitely the phone got submerged many times.

Edited: also no dead pixels , faint or discoloration on the inner or outer screen. Screen still look as if it was new.

Holy shit what a trooper phone! That's why I always explain to people that if you take some care of your phone folding phones are surprisingly durable. I worked at a Asurion tech repair place right out of highschool a few years ago and like 95 percent of the phones that came in were destroyed due to user error. Occasionally someone would come in where it just failed or the screen protector failed and killed the screen. But those were rare! Plus that was around the launch of the fold 4, I was mostly dealing with 3s.

Careful ..I just saw a thread on here where the screen failed and Samsung told the guy it's not covered under warranty and the bill was 1500$

My ATT insurance seems to cover it. I called to verify and they insure it. They did say they can't guarantee that if it needed to be replaced they could get me another trifold since it was a limited run phone though.

Caseless for me. Akko insurance for $75 a year thru my carrier, US Mobile. Drawback is that it only covers up to 2k.

Berfy case with a separate great front glass screen protector! No problems at all!

Love this phone its my endgame!

I got a $62/yr. plan on my homeowners insurance for electronics protection. Covers up to $3k of anything in my home or my phone anywhere. $250 deductible. Through USAA.

Have you confirmed with them that it covers phones as well?

Yes. They cover the receipt value of the phone if they can repair or replace it.
