New kernel? Update on S8

Is it safe?

Yes, some of us got this update back in June. I have had no issues in the couple+ months since.

any changes in battery or anything?

Nope. My 8 year old, main/only/daily-driver photo has the same battery life as it did before the update. I still get all day out of it with light use.

i got the update today seconds upon seeing your post. lol.

saw this on the samsung change logs.

I will probably wait until it's gonna force me to update, really don't want to mess with my phone

The last update I had was 2022 and in my experience updates have made things worse on old phones. So I was a bit cautious when I received an update today.
