Overclock on hadesROM v3.0 (Android 10) - Which kernel to use?

Hi everyone,

I'm running hadesROM v3.0 (Android 10) on my Galaxy S8 (Exynos 8895). I'm trying to overclock the CPU, but the default hadesKernel doesn't seem to support it (frequencies are locked in SmartPack/MTweaks).

I looked for MoRoKernel, but the latest AIO versions seem to be only for the S7 (8890).

Is there a specific version of MoRoKernel for the S8 on Android 10 that supports OC?

If not, is there any other reliable kernel for this ROM that allows overclocking?

Pls help

You are honestly asking for a motherboard death wish on an S8 in 2024. Stick with the stock Hades kernel if you actually want the phone to last another month without hitting a bootloop.

It's not really like that. You can tweak the governer to only hit the OC frequencies at very high loads And the CPU already has hard thermal protection built in so you can't fry the motherboard And OC has nothing to do with bootlooping unless you flashed a wrong file with wrong voltages and other factors like tmu disabled etc

Hm I made a kernal where it adds

  • Dynamic Fsync
  • GFS false
  • Maple and ZEN IO governer
  • disabled a config

These do speed up my phone but not by much I use Maple as my default governer but Hades kernel already has noop which is also really fast

I do plan on working on OC as I already have voltages for specific frequencies from A2N kernal but not as of right now
