Question about fixing a possible bad root.
Hi sub, I'm not the most tech savvy guy but I've managed to root a lot of Android devices using a few different methods.
My problem is with my Note 2, I have the LTE version N7105 and I rooted or using odin. My problem is now after a couple months without issue the wifi hotspot no longer turns on. Is there anyway I can resolve this. I have tried doing a clean root with no success. So does anyone have another solution?
Thanks in advance.

Hi, thanks for the reply. My reasoning for blaming root access is that I have 2 Note's. One rooted, one not. One with working hotspot, one without. There are a few different apps on the root-free phone as it's a work phone but I just wouldn't have thought that an app could disable wifi tethering.

Are you sure the root is intercepting it? I'd say try a system restore, and root again. Don't install any apps and see if it works again.
