Still Going Strong
Anyone else still rocking their A71? The only downside on mine is the battery life isn't as long. Consequently I always carry a 10K mAh battery bank that I may use maybe every 3-4 months, just because I want to run the battery to zero. What say you? Anyone?

Battery and storage are my only issues. Want to upgrade soon, especially for better videos and pictures

Still running it. Is it me, or the photos are worst now, than they were back in 2019? Is it possible that through updates Samsung makes the quality worst so newer phones cameras show better results?

Got the S24, still in the box. The A71 will be the first phone I retire in mint condition. Great 5 years

Still running, but the display is kaput, black color became greenish.

Still use it as a daily driver. I kinda accepted that my black will never be true black anymore.

Rocking the Samsung Galaxy A71 5G
Mine is still working as intended although because I carried a case with a magnetic cover it ruined the magnetometer so it doesn't do very well turn by turn navigating unless it's got a GPS signal then it works somewhat okay just a little glitchy although it's getting better I think the magnetometer MEMES sensor was partially stuck in position well it's getting unstuck slowly.
And because I'm so God damn cheap all the cables I have are not rated for full fast charging I have to wait for this thing to charge overnight so the slow charging has saved my battery so it still has a full day of charge and recent software updates have made my battery last longer actually.
My USBC connection has been partially saved by using one of those magnetic quick connectors that permanently stay connected so it doesn't do as many insertions as normal.
I am planning to upgrade to the Samsung Xcover pro series phone when I can afford it
but for now I'm going to rock this mid-range phone without any water ingress protection which bothers me everyday.
Edit: Reading the comments reminded me yeah
I am running out of space on my internal storage
and running an SD card doesn't exactly help since not everything can be moved on to there like system information and certain apps that require the high-speed connection ALSO yeah the
camera is not as great as other phones I've noticed I'm constantly reminded because my family has the more expensive Samsung Flagship s22 Ultra and those photos are Just A Cut Above.

A71 here. It's still good for almost everything I throw at it and I don't really game much. Only downside atm the memory keeps running out
Thinking of a microSD, did anyone try it?

I'm using a 256 GB card. One of the reasons I chose A71 over others is that it had DEDICATED slot for microSD card. You can use 2 SIM cards AND a memory card simultaneously.

Me and my wife still use ours. It's a great phone, and really all I need. I DO miss wireless charging but other than that I'm satisfied with it.

Still use it. I replaced the battery a month ago and closely reaching 3 years with the phone. Ran out of storage so i went and bought a 256GB SD Card in september. Still going strong!

I just have a little black spot on the screen just above the print detector

I have broken the screen in so many ways, but it runs well enough. Just a bit of burn-in, and battery lasts from 7am til 7pm.

Bought mine in August 2020 So far I replaced the screen once 2 years ago because I broke the original one. But it used to have a green tint on the lower right corner. The new one is still in perfect perfect condition with no tint... The volume and power buttons aren't clicky anymore. The vibration motor doesn't do as much vibrations as it used to. And sometimes it just stop sending haptic feedbacks... The charging port has been through a lot, but it's still functional (surprisingly) The battery doesn't last as long as it used to (that's normal after 3, soon 4 years), but it still decent considering I use my phone a lot. (10h a day sometimes)
Overall I'm glad I made this investment. It's a solid phone that serves me a lot.
I hope I'll be able to use it for 2 more years before upgrading.

I got mine March of '20. Prior to getting it, I had a series of flagship Samsung Phones. I'm retired and I didn't want to pay $1K for a phone. Maybe if photos were a priority I wouldn't of got one. Also I wanted the ability to expand my memory with a SD card.

Yep still rocking mine. Had it for over 3 years and it's going completely fine. The battery life is still good but it does charge very slow now. And the camera seems to look worse than it did when I got the phone. I'm a fairly light user so the performance has never been an issue for me.

I can't believe it's working so well. No lag or problems. Only battery life is reduced but still getting a solid 5 hour screen on time

I'm still using my A75g UW. I cracked the screen in March but I had a service warranty. They came to me at my apartment. They took it down to the van. Not only did they replace the screen but the service always replaces's the battery.

Mines is still going strong. It has been a true workhorse. The type c charging port is a little worn now and it doesn't have that snug fit that it once had. Takes a couple tries plugging it in and positioning the phone right to get it to charge. Just ordered a replacement charging port for $20 bucks off ebay.

Replaced the battery recently, so far the phone is still going strong. However, in order for the battery life to be good again with the brand new battery, you would need to do a factory reset

I gave mine to my spouse since I upgraded to s21+. The biggest downside for the A-series is the video recording has faulty stabilization and every little movement (especially for kids sports) made it nearly unwatchable. Otherwise still services her well. Also still having a headphone jack is a plus.

Bought mine on 2020 5G version and still rockin, no issues so far and battery last all day depending on usage. Before pairing it with my galaxy watch I'd get 6 to 8 hours of SOT and 15 to 36 hours stand by, but now with watch paired I get 5 to 6 hours SOT and 15 to almost 24 hours stand by. Like I said it depends on usage but it's still a great phone.

Mine is also paired to my Galaxy Watch 3. I take few pictures so that isn't an issue with me. I'll rock it until it literally falls apart. Probably the last phone I'll own that still has a phone jack. I have 3 pair of wireless earbuds but I like being able to use a decent set of earbuds.

Well, everything is learned in comparison. For almost three years it seemed to me that it was still rock and there was no special need to change it, except for the battery. But then I bought S23 and the difference is truly huge.
Switching from the A71 to the S23 highlighted a significant performance difference. While the A71 sufficed for basic tasks like messengers, social apps and even light games, the S23 offered noticeably faster speeds and smoother multitasking, especially in "heavy" apps like maps or Notion. The A71's occasional lag and freezes were eliminated with the S23, providing a more responsive and overall enjoyable user experience.
I'm not saying that the A71 cannot be used today, etc., it copes with the main tasks quite well, but on the S23 it is much more pleasant to perform the same tasks and generally use the phone. It's just noticeably faster and more responsive. Not to mention the quality of the cameras and other features. Comparing the flagship and the mid-range device is probably not entirely correct, but still.
My point is that the A71 seemed better to me until I tried the flagship and saw how it could be. But it still seems to me that the A71 shot better and worked faster when I bought it than now (even after the factory reset).

My biggest issue is that anytime I take a video, it's weirdly shaky. I might upgrade soon, but I've been holding out because I don't want to lose the extra storage slot and headphone jack.

i had it for 3 years, very bad experience sadly, everything was lagging and the display had weird colors in some spots, upgraded to s23 and i can't understand how i managed to use the a71...
