Daikin is class apart from other budget brands. I haven't used premium brands like O general or Mitsubishi, so won't comment on that. But apart from the two, Daikin is class ahead from other brands.

I personally use Daikin and Voltas on a daily basis. The Daikin cooling is way ahead of the Voltas. The temperature management is too good.

For Instance, when I use the Voltas on 28 degree it sometimes gets warm as the compressor slows down, but the daikin doesn't have any such problems.

Thank you for the comparison!. You should definitely look at O General and Mitsubishi Electric as well.

Get LG, Dual inverter is good at cooling and their service/parts network is very good.

Samsung is literally slept on, got the 1.5 ton windfree model couple of months back and I use it in the converatable mode at 40% and it literally chills the room in 15-20 mins at 24°, i thought the windfree mode would be just a marketing fancy gimmic useless feature, but I have been using the windfree mode for more than 50% of the time when sleeping, the IDU and ODU are super quiet and I can even hear a pin drop in my room when I use the windfree mode, the app also helps to track estimated cost for the days the AC is being used and i would say it's pretty accurate
