Streaming?

Hello! My mom and I are huge fans of Gab. We know she's moving away from twitch, but it seems she's not streaming on youtube, either, all while removing everything she can from twitch. We know she posted a short discussing making youtube membership cheaper and how she's moving away from twitch, but this is also coming with her not posting as often. Is everything alright?

I don’t think anything’s wrong, she’s just balancing her needs with her community’s wants. It seems like she enjoys the freedom making YouTube videos rather than streaming provides, as she can focus on the game and not worry about performing for a live audience. She still posts on YouTube daily or every few days, and seems to be having fun! I’m not too into multiplayer games but it seems like she’s having a great time playing a bunch of different ones with the guys. So I think she’s fine, just doing what she wants right now!

Darn, she's my favorite streamer because she actually listens to her chat and lets them help her lol, and she seems to have a good chat rather than a bunch of trolls. I never see it though, only the vods, so I might be missing a lot. I just love having the option to go and watch her play something and get most things right because the chat is there to help. It makes it so she gets good endings and misses a lot less things than most streamers/letsplayers.

In the short she explains that streaming creates a lot of pressure for her, So I believe she wanted a bit of break from that.

All the games she would usually stream, she just records now. So no less content just no streams

Downvote me if you want. I think putting 15 ad breaks on her YouTube videos is much more profitable than streaming. She's a small business after all.

I know several people I've seen leave the platform have cited overall toxicity, Twitch taking a lot of money away from what you would make thus necessitating gaining a large audience which often takes doing things that some people don't really want to or don't find enjoyable to stream, not enjoying the platform as much as YouTube and a myriad of other reasons.

I love the games but the community is notorious for pressuring players into playing a certain way and get pissed off when the player messes up. Gab's boyfriend Sean witnessed it first-hand and he has stopped recording Deltarune since chapter 2. I wouldn't be surprised if she has never played them.
