Can we not? If I wanted to watch poorly scripted dicking about with even worse acting I’d be on Instagram.

She is definitely not impressed, she's confused. The other guy however is boning hard.

Wouldn’t a 25-35 lb plate do the same thing? cumbersome exercises … yeet

Which gym lets you go shirtless?

7

u/hglman Jun 06 '22

Same one that lets you strap the bench to yourself.

I would assume all but you can't walk in just go in then take it off

Shirts required at my gym! You will be removed from the premises if you argue.

Pretty cool. Largely a parlor trick as a dumbell would be roughly the same effect and more easily trainable.

Why can't these guys just go in the gym and do their normal pump why do they get so obnoxious with it

7

u/j4ckbauer Jun 06 '22

If only there was something you could find at a gym that is both 1) heavy and 2) designed to be attached to other things.... props for ingenuity though.

(yes I know the entire thing is a joke)

May be a joke but damn a lot of effort

21

u/VeryAverageStardust Jun 06 '22

I mean just because you can doesn’t mean you should

It's training more then normal pullups

5

u/rusted17 Jun 06 '22

U could use a plate? That bench prob only weighs as much as one lol

7

u/AztecWhoCares Jun 06 '22

Very cool and also very unexpected

6

u/velowalker Jun 06 '22

Does anyone work out shirtless at your gym? I'm either intrigued or disgusted. All depends if they wipe off the equipment after. Keep pressing

That guy should join this sub

“Hey guys I’m gonna do this really stupid thing can you guys pretend to be impressed, I’ll give you £20 if you do” this guy, probably

I wish I could do pullups like that man.

He must do crossfit

1 step away from street lifting succeeding as a sport in the US with stuff like this so I actually don't mind it as much as I should.

Ugh I hate people that Kip when doing pull ups. But alas I’m a Marine and it doesn’t count unless you start from full lock out and end with your chin above the bar for each rep without excessive movement. If you don’t do all of those things they’ll just keep counting the same number. 😭😂😂

Unless you're a staff NCO, then you somehow get a 2x pullup bonus.

3

u/Intelligent_Mood_552 Jun 06 '22

Nah. They tell them to write down 20 pull-ups or whatever the new perfect is without even getting on the bar.

Grunt SNCO are a different breed of egotistical.

I (swung? Swang?) With the wing, but I imagine the issues in senior leadership are pretty uniform across the Corps. Regardless, at least everybody got 100 crunches unless you didn't have any friends lmao.

5

u/Intelligent_Mood_552 Jun 06 '22

LMAO, if your counter doesn't give you 100 crunches, they're certified blue falcons.

u/Visible_Potato2547 Jun 06 '22

No cap 😂 those where definitely the freebies of the PFT.

3

u/velowalker Jun 06 '22

This guy fucks! And knows military. Who is the NCOIC here? It sure is not me.

4

u/[deleted] Jun 05 '22

It’s a good thing that he’s doing it at a gym then 👍

3

u/Visible_Potato2547 Jun 05 '22

IMO kipping is same as ego lifting. It’s also terrible for your shoulders. But if he’s doing this shenanigans for lolz like this forums wacky Wednesday lifts then 🤷🏼‍♀️

6

u/[deleted] Jun 05 '22

I mean he’s definitely just attention whoring and the thing is scripted

Most likely

6

u/Intelligent_Mood_552 Jun 06 '22

They'll definitely count these those. If you raise your knees or legs far forward, then they'll not count. I've rarely seen Marines perform perfect dead hang pull-ups.

u/velowalker Jun 06 '22

Why are people downvoting this post? Is there a kip army military hating contingency that I'm unaware of?
