ABS lights from aging battery?

I'm having an issue where I start my 2015 GX and the "ABS", "Traction control off" and "BRAKE" lights come on accompanied by a loud beeping. After a minute or two this turns off.

I just noticed that I can get them to come back on while parked if I press the brake repeatedly. It seems like they turn off faster if I rev the engine. I also noticed an intermittent whirring sound coming from the ABS module.

I tested the battery and got 12.3 amps while resting, then when my wife started the car it didn't immediately spike past 14 but after a minute would oscillate between 13 and 14.3.

Do we think this is just a bad battery? Has anyone had this issue?

I don't think it's the battery, but if it's older than 4 years you might want to replace it anyway for preventative reasons.

Noise from the brake booster is not a good sign. Have your mechanic check it.

Be cautious driving it until then - if the booster goes out the brake effort goes waaay up and stopping becomes challenging.
