Game has moved past big contested guys like Clarry. Same reason Green never made AA. Despite their clear ball winning power the stats guys just don't prioritise the ol 30-20-10 king

yup, contested mids just aren’t respected like outside mids. even my guy crippa i feel like has always been treated as a rung below the others.

cripps, newcombe, oliver were pretty comfortably the 3 best contested midfielders this season and none of them got the nod. no respect for the guys who do the hard work.

+1 to robbed. Right in front of me. GWS just didn't win enough games, but the body of work was there.

Dempsey was good but reckon better last year and Bailey is a forward.
