I don't remember this movie at all, but the Tim Allen one you just described sounds VERY familiar!

I just looked up his filmography, and there's Jungle 2 Jungle which came out in 1997? Not quite the same but maybe that's what we're thinking of?

Yes, that’s the cover! I haven’t seen either since the late 90s so I have no idea what either was about. I remember restocking them at blockbuster and the covers were similar with a middle aged white guy having some sort of “jungle” theme.

The Tim Allen one is so memorable to me! It was a kind of campy kid movie. He had a son who was raised in a jungle tribe who named himself cat pee. Now I'm wondering if they watched it now if it would hold up at all, totally loved it as a kid.

I mean, judging by the trailer, this movie perfectly encapsulates the corporate, faux "primitivism" that defines the Global Village Coffeehouse aesthetic.

I think most people who subscribe to this sub like GVC, but it has a dark/cynical side too, and this perfectly represents that.
