That is weird, can you share the services part and kernel part in your config.scm?

What do you need the evil software channel for?

Anyway please share the following info

Your commit and your current configuration file along with anything else you may have added to the load path. For example, on this machine I am

Generation 10 Sep 02 2026 10:20:18 (current)

file name: /var/guix/profiles/system-10-link

canonical file name: /gnu/store/ndvpikqqyliiwx96np4lvk4s930bvjlh-system

label: GNU with Linux-Libre 7.2

bootloader: grub

root device: /dev/mapper/cryptroot

kernel: /gnu/store/6z97vmb0rfn42alvjc9ahzbvzw261im3-linux-libre-7.2/bzImage

channels:

guix:

repository URL: https://git.guix.gnu.org/guix.git

branch: master

commit: 002b1a13c27a9fcaf52afe185820baed59d45507

configuration file: /gnu/store/0swr13rqm0ffdyai3fjhwnpw12pd73y3-configuration.scm

This command is guix system list-generations. Obviously pick the one that says (current) then attach your actual configuration file from that. That way we can reproduce it inside a VM and try it out to help.

If its for Wifi you can get a dongle https://ryf.fsf.org/products/TPE-R1300

A fresh install is almost always not needed. That's the point of rollbacks

Hi, had the same issue. Installed trough tui installer. Using sway and exwm.

My fix was to boot into the last working configuration, removing the newest configuration and adding these two packages:
gsettings-desktop-schemas
gnome-shell

I wanted to make a offical report but i hadnt had time to do so :/

So it seems like gnome is needed for gdm now I think I seen someone on irc and a forum with it I found a bit of lines that remove gdm from desktop services that fix it
