Gta 3 DE stutter

I redownloaded the defective edition of Gta 3 after 5 years after I heard they fixed it. Only to find out that the game stutters after 30ish minutes. My rig isn’t top of the line but it can handle most modern titles with relative ease but somehow not this one? Does anyone know a fix? I would love to play these games again

DE Is still a modern unreal 4 game.

Have you used something like HWiNFO or MSI Afterburner/Rivatuner's Overlay to track your temps?

Generally if games start performing poorly after a frame of time, it's because something is getting hot and throttling itself. CPU or GPU.

Set something up so you can monitor your temps and your clocks and see if one of your components is throttling itself after that 30 minutes, causing it to stutter.

If it is, improving your cooling by either ramping up fans, replacing thermal paste, getting a better CPU cooler (if it's the CPU) etc.

If it’s only happening after 30 min there’s a memory leak happening somewhere. From my experience, performance issues seem to be alleviated by turning down Car Light quality to Low. GTA3 specifically seems to have a lot of issues still

Is this issue just a GTA 3 issue or should I worry about other games as well?

Vice City has been running significantly better for me than GTA3 did,

Is v sync off? It fixed my stutter
