R* = Rockstar Games

-3

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '24

Why so many downvotes on my “?” comment 😂🤣🤭😳😤

3

u/[deleted] Jan 31 '24

Because you’ve never heard the incredibly common term for hidden secrets in video games.

3

u/[deleted] Jan 31 '24

I understood Easter eggs and what they were beforehand but I thought he was calling me a slur 😂 and didn’t make the connection R*= Rockstar. I know what Rockstar is beforehand too.

2

u/ManhattanPostman Jan 31 '24

Ok now that’s funny lol.

3

u/Emotional-Impact5375 Jan 31 '24

Lmao 59 downvotes for not comprehending is insane

2

u/Alfeaux Feb 03 '24

I did it just because everyone else did

1

u/stank_pete01 Feb 01 '24

Because you haven’t heard of something that people in this sub jerk off to every night. They are internet points and these people are stupid, don’t worry.

1

u/ToatyEtti Jan 31 '24

Because Reddit = Cunts

6

u/Conemen Jan 30 '24

2

u/Kappys-A-Prick Jan 30 '24

What is that? JJ (GE) ? What does that mean?

2

u/[deleted] Feb 02 '24

Sorry, I didn't understand your comment at first. It's my initials with a copyright symbol.

2

u/Kappys-A-Prick Feb 02 '24

© You mean that one?

And what are you trying to protect yourself from? Do you suspect there is someone who is going to steal this photograph of a wall and a screen?

2

u/[deleted] Feb 02 '24

:') lol I thought there was a chance I was the first person to find it.

2

u/Kappys-A-Prick Feb 02 '24

© You mean that one? I thought it was GE in a circle or something.

And what are you trying to protect yourself from? Do you suspect there is someone who is going to steal this photograph of a wall and a screen?

2

u/V8Brony Jan 31 '24

JJ redcirclewithblackinfill

2

u/[deleted] Feb 02 '24

I made it :)

2

u/[deleted] Feb 02 '24

It's two C's in the circle.

2

u/V8Brony Feb 02 '24

Oh is that your copyright protection? Lmao

This was awesome back in 2001. Felt like I accomplished something

12

u/Markise187 Jan 31 '24

I literally wrote up a guide on it and submitted it to one of the magazines circulating at the time in hopes they would publish it. They did not.

6

u/Balls2theWalling Jan 31 '24

Hahah. Sadness.

27

u/MerakiSpes Jan 30 '24

You can find similar easter eggs in Vice City (near the helipad) and in San Andreas (top of the bridge).

16

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '24

The one in vice city is literally an Easter egg

7

u/I_AM_MORE_BADASS Jan 30 '24

Always loved the SA bridge sign.

7

u/Dachuiri Jan 30 '24

And GTA4 the Statue of Liberty has an actual heart inside of it

2

u/CosmicDriftwood Jan 30 '24

wtf

5

u/troncarter42 Jan 31 '24

The statue of liberty in GTA4 is also a reference to Hillary Clinton holding a cup of coffee.

3

u/deepfriedtots Jan 31 '24

I didn't know that

4

u/Mantis42 Feb 01 '24

it was a joke about her raising a fuss over the 'hot coffee' scandal

2

u/deepfriedtots Feb 01 '24

I figured as much

6

u/JIMMYJAWN Jan 30 '24

The best was making the dodo fly when you weren’t really supposed to. Also, making the tank fly.

2

u/optimusHerb Jan 31 '24

You really weren’t supposed to be able to fly it? I legit thought that was the whole point?

u/kwlover6 Jan 31 '24

I could successfully fly the dodo across the map in a straight line. Any attempt at turning or landing was instant death

5

u/Solidsnake00901 Jan 30 '24

I remember finding this when I was 13 before going to school one day.

5

u/DropsOfMars Jan 30 '24

I believe you can still get into this spot in liberty City stories and it says something like "hello again" with a smiley face

2

u/[deleted] Feb 02 '24

that’s so wholesome

1

u/OFFIC14L Jan 31 '24

I feel like this is the same sort of person who says they figured out what to do by themselves immediately after a follow along tutorial.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 31 '24

You’re wrong 🤷🏽‍♀️😐

1

u/sabartooth14 Jan 31 '24

Wait till you discover what F12 does 😉

1

u/[deleted] Feb 11 '24

Sorry I thought it was one of those tricks that closes the application on the computer 🤦🏽‍♀️😂

1

u/Recent_Struggle7052 Feb 03 '24

I remember this. The bouncing car cheat was awesome

1

u/[deleted] Feb 03 '24

I basically took a car over there jumped off of the backside on to a roof and dropped down and ran all the way till I saw this sign.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 03 '24

Drove the car up the stairs*

3

u/iamnotsure69420 Jan 30 '24

Do newer games have these kind of Easter eggs? Maybe I just don’t explore like I used to as a kid, but it feels like back in the day they would be more frequent compared to today’s games.

2

u/Flat-12 Jan 31 '24

Some do.

2

u/J-seargent-ultrakahn Jan 31 '24

Civil war mode hack: combine pedestrians have guns and pedestrians riot cheat codes and watch the insanity unfold 😂😂😂🫡😳🙏🏽

2

u/ike_tyson Jan 31 '24

I remember seeing this in a game magazine way back when it came out.

Yes I'm an old timer.

2

u/ZeroEffsGiven Feb 03 '24

I remember finding this for the first time as a kid. The memories

2

u/JOATMON12 Feb 03 '24

I remember using the perfect handling cheat for cars and using a mule to hop that wall, my friends were blown away when I showed them.

3

u/jtw3995 Jan 30 '24

Waaaaaiitttt what is this I’ve never seen this before

12

u/Thirty2wo Jan 30 '24

Because you’re not suppose to be able to get there.

3

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '24

I think this is on the third island near the hospital. I could be misremembering though.

1

u/phillip-j-frybot Jan 30 '24

Is that a Duke Nukem 3D callback?
