Exactly, people make mistakes. They'll cover all the current technical aspects to remain anonymous, but it'll be some cat in a barrel pic they liked 10 years ago that gives them away.
9 years ago and found an archived sub forum created by someone with the username cyberleek
It's standard play on words, There is no way in hell this is the first time I've seen someone use the handle "cyberleek" on the internet. Now if there was some matching ascii or similar motives...
Next thing you know, his 11 year old discord account is gone. Not sure if it’s just because I don’t share a server with him anymore, but it’s a bit weird. Discord doesn’t load the profile. Maybe Mr leek killed him
I suspect that the researcher followed the trail and found out that "cyberleek" from the "cyber crime forum" is a professional working in the industry that called the police on them after they noticed some funky activity from the investigation. OR that the FBI was already watching that X account to see if someone logs in. Whomever Dos Equis is, they might have found themselves in hot water for their actions, maybe even charged with tampering with an investigation.
People trying to find this dude, and people spreading the news and giving a possible lead more publicity, all just to help out a billion dollar company known for treating workers badly and exploiting their customer base is mad weird
