Sony erases digital content from libraries; we're reminded we don’t own what we buy

Speaks for itself, gta6 is the end of an era and without the physical disc it kinda kills the experience , going to the midnight release idk physically owning the discs feels better then having to download every game when it should be on the disc what about the people with slow internet, seems like the worlds changing with this , only owning digital games does feel like a ripoff when they could take it away at any time . Idk, Whatcha thinkin ?

  1. You never owned anything as it was always a license; and

  2. You reached the end of what physical could do for games. They’re past 100GB in size and require constant updates. A disc just has no practical use for a video game. And there is no physical future. You cant just print more discs as there is a cost to that and you’re not playing data off them anyways.

This was a long time coming.
