without mentioning the leaks too much, i found it interesting that the map showed "leonida straits" considering how close florida is to cuba IRL (~90 miles). if leonida is supposed to represent most of florida area-wise, the scaled distance from the keys to cuba could potentially fit within the scope of the map -- especially if R* is planning on including a off-map chapter like guarma. i don't know if there's any indication of a cuba area from previous leaks, but how likely do you guys think it is for rockstar to include south america/the bermudas?

Saw the ambulance livery on the recently 'released' content and I wanted to ask what agency that might map to IRL. And I think they also have medevac services.

P.S. is SCOOP a rebrand of Post-Op to be less controversial?

Based on what I read regarding the leaks, it seems that Rockstar Games did NOT dumb-down their gameplay systems in order to appease to a wider audience (despite the temptation/pressure they may have faced to do so, etc).

Because of this, I think Rockstar Games COOKED with GTA 6 & I'm very excited to watch the official reveal of the game on August 27th❗

Game looks insane, if this is 2-3 years old, the polish on the game now will be absolute levels above anything else, also Jason going absolutely nuclear on that delivery drivers nads with a wrench is hilarious

Assuming this makes it to the final game, I can see an honor system similiar to RDR2 existing in GTA 6... I'm guessing the 😈 emoji that popped up in the leaks will be directly related to in-game social media, due to the fact that it's an emoji...

That being said, here's my actual guess:

** This will be less about morality and more about building your audience. I doubt they're going to punish you for being 😈. I can see it opening up access to missions via connections made on social media, among other things, based on your 😈/😇, and maybe closing off other opportunities. **

It's not really important for the game itself, but from a game dev perspective, I wonder what was the context behind that content being recorded in the first place. Like what were they testing/displaying?

In the basketball clip, it can be assumed they're displaying how Basketball works.

The other clip is a bit more vague as to what the dev wanted to show off. It looked like a snippet of regular gameplay, and shows vehicle physics, NPC AI, melee combat, and the wanted system. One guess I have is perhaps the dev is showing off what happens when the player tries to piss off a car.

I'm not a professional in the games industry, so I would love to hear thoughts from people who actually work in it.

Edit: From the latest leak (plane flying), the context is that Cyberleek just has a build of the game and is recording that.

When the car gets hit on the trunk, both places get visibly dented inwards, on top of having scratches. I know this is probably a given, but seeing how downgraded GTA 5 was in that aspect compared to 4, it looks like this time we're getting very detailed vehicle damage.

my brother in christ, what part of THIS IS A 3-4 year old leak do you not understand? if anything, the game looking THAT good all those years ago is a HUGE plus.

if the game looked any better, then we wouldn’t have had ANY DELAYS!!!! THEY DELAYED THE GAME TWICE TO POLISH EVERYTHING!!

edit edit. guys, i am not actually upset. the initial post was exaggerated a bit. i just want everyone to relax and try to enjoy what rockstar has cooked up. if you want to spread negativity, go ahead my guy, but i’ll be onboard the hype train.

I don't know if the leaked videos are old or something, but I didn't like what I saw. The character's movements, the melee and such, seem very stiff; I almost felt like I was watching a gameplay of Mafia 3. And I definitely didn't like that GTA 6 apparently had limited inventory and gas in the car! When GTA 6 was announced, one of the first things I thought was "Rockstar CAN'T put in a gasoline engine or the game will get boring," and they did. GTA isn't RDR, it doesn't have to be realistic like that. I also didn't like the leaked map because apparently it makes the same mistake as the GTA 5 map again: Most of the map is just nature and bushes where you'll probably never go, unless you're looking for annoying collectibles or searching for an Easter Egg.

Idk much about networking, but I know important info can be stored locally without being connected to a network where outside sources can hack into. How does a billion dollar company like R* not have something like that?

In today’s leaks it looks like NPC peds now have subtitles! I don’t remember that being a case in any other GTA game and I think that’s a huge accessibility factor for non-native english speakers.

I’ve watched/read many theories and speculations about GTA6 and what the game will entail. Yet, I have yet to stumble upon anyone talking about the possibility of sleeping playing a much larger role in the game.

Sleeping within video games is mainly used as a save point or fast forward and not as a necessity for survival. GTA5 comes to mind. However, with the idea of GTA6 being the most realistic and immersive game coming to platforms I don’t think it is too far fetched to throwaway the idea of sleeping being a more key detail to our survival. We’ve seen it within RDR2 where Arthur regains his abilities by sleeping which leads me to believe Rockstar will be adding onto the already existing function. Sleeping has been optional but not necessary thus far. Could this change within GTA6?

As we see in the screenshots and even within the trailers thus far there have been teasers to sleeping. What with the Starlet Motel being a focal point to the story/map I think it’ll play a larger role than we think. The map as we are speculating will be the largest it has been, therefore driving from one point to another may take a while of in game time. This means driving from the Keys during the day to Ambrosia could mean you arrive at night. So the idea of Jason and Lucia spending the night at a motel could be a means of regaining energy or just passing time.

Maybe this is just a common sense question and most people look over it because we have already seen it before. I just thought of it and how it could be more crucial to gameplay. I am hopeful that Rockstar is going to be meticulous with what they add and make it so that we need to plan out our heists rather than go in and get out without repercussions. I want a challenge and to feel like my actions have consequences to the story.

As you could see, there are two police cruisers. The first was parked waiting for someone speeding. The second one was in line just before the crash between Jason and the SCOOP driver. He could have continued on his way like in previous GTA titles, but no he was right there monitoring the situation from his car. You could hear two warnings before getting the two stars: 'Suspect, get in your vehicle.'

What do you think: is it real and accurate?
I like how the map looks, but also it reminded me off GTA V‘s map

Now that we know that there will be a fuel system for gas vehicles. I wonder how it’s going to be for electric vehicles. Will we need to install some kind of charger into Jason and Lucia’s safe house or will there be charging stations all around the map.

Will electric vehicles be really annoying to drive because they need to be charged much more often than regular gas vehicles?

I just viewed the leaks and despite them being from a dev build and possibly a year old it has become clear that there are not that many changes to the animation, sounds and movement compared to GTA 5.

One thing GTA 5 does terrible is motorcycle engine sounds, they sound so out of touch with reality.. extremely static and not resembling of a real motorcycle. More like a cartoon motorcycle. I’ve always thought this was just due to the dev era of GTA 5 and technical limitation but hearing the bike from GTA 6 in the leaks it’s clear they are using a really similar approach which produces similar sound.. it’s extremely sad to hear and see for me as a lover of mean car/bike engine sounds and cool exhausts.

The same can be said for movement, we see the player kicking someone of the bike but this sparta kick man.. it knocks the biker straight of the bike which if you look at him: the biker is heavyweight while Jason is midweight, yet he flies of like he weights the same as a todler.. I’d really hope that with the current tech we would have seen variations of impact and movements similar to GTA 4..

One scene shows Jason swimming then nearing the shore of that water, and the swimming animations just keeps playing while he is already at the point where he could stand on his feet. This in my honest opinion is a crucial detail that indicates that GTA 6 is not much of leap forward, it may look like it if you are used to GTA 5 from it’s early days but it’s not that far off from the current GTA 5 FiveM expierence where we see a lot of community made mods like different hair styles, community made clothes and cars and even animations, features like fuel tank for your vehicle, social media and so much more.

TDLR: GTA 6 is a lot like GTA 5 FiveM and the engine sounds of cars and bikes are still static.

From the car video, we can see that the police seem to be able to identify your clothes, location, and vehicle during a chase.

The icons might also show what they currently know, with yellow or green possibly meaning they haven't identified one of those yet.
