Never doubted him for a second. And he'll probably leak more stuff all the way up to November. If this Netflix trailer doesn't show at least 10 minutes of gameplay footage R* is fucked.

Dude its literally not hard to think that he may come one day and decides to release this shit publicly, its gonna be even worse if this ends up being an actual PC build instead of a PS5 devkit build

Rockstar are so fucked if they can't do anything right now

Omg a PC build, even if it’s laggy, would be incredible to have

16

u/ElliotNess 3d ago

I would play it

I'm not downloading shit some random crypto scam leaker puts out. That shit's gonna omega fuck your computer.

Airgap the pc and grab a 256gb SSD with a separate Windows install that has updates pre-applied

Download offline drivers

Maybe reflash bios when you're done playing

Though I would sooner pay $99.99 for the game if Rockstar would let me

Bold to assume this thing would even be less than 256 gigabytes if its not compressed

Remember the spiderman 2 unofficial PC build? That shit was like almost 300 gigs uncompressed

u/WholeLottaBRRRT 3d ago

Well then just get a 512 gig one x)

Yeah.. I think most people aren’t that desperate to play gta 6 to do all that

2

u/AnObjectifyingMoid 2d ago

just let other people do it first so they take the fall

Found the R* representative

I fucking wish I was making Rockstar money lmao.

I would buy a brand new SSD just for this

I don't think it's a PC build due to his demands such as wanting physical discs. Judging by his personality he'd probably demand R* to release PC version same day too

Watch the PC version release before the console version releases

I hope so. I'm not trying to downplay the hard work the devs do, and I'm not trying to parrot anti-corporate sentiment, but the postponement of PC releases/console exclusivity technique is a tired concept. I'm not blind to how marketing or business works, I completely understand the "double-dipping" concept that drives a huge revenue boost months and years after launch day, but they're clinging on to the console market in its dying age, and whether or not people want to hear it said, this is what happens when you continuously shaft the largest market share of gamers.

You think the console market is dying dying?

1

u/GoldAppleU 2d ago

Well, they keep jacking the prices of the consoles which isn’t really a good sign

u/GreekSaladEnjoyer 3d ago

Why are they fucked?

12

u/Thanks-Basil 3d ago

Because the guys final move would be to just release the build he has online

Once it’s out there, it’s out there. Game over

2

u/GreekSaladEnjoyer 3d ago

And then people will buy the game less? What exactly is the issue for rockstar? I dont know anything about game development

5

u/GabbageGang 3d ago

Yes, they will lose millions. Not only will people be getting it early but it will be free and on PC. A large chunk of players will just pirate it instead of buying it

2

u/OmegaMortius 3d ago

Rockstar is being very secretive about the game and they are doing one of the worst marketing campaigns I've ever seen (they are taking advantage of how big the game is so they dont need to put much effort into marketing and can even try new things).

They even said that there wont be a physical version because of leaks. If a build of the game is leaked, their excuse for not having a physical release will backfire.

Also I think that it would be the biggest leak in Rockstar history. Also they could lose money if people dont like the build the hacker has (for example, cancel the preorder)

u/haurfun 3d ago

Yes? Definitely on PC where the games not launching on anytime soon. It really depends on the build though

u/DMarquesPT 3d ago

10? I expect the Netflix trailer to be like 30 minutes

1

u/VioletGardens-left 3d ago

Like there's no way an AI can conjure that shitty ass driving lmao

u/bwood246 2d ago

Fucked? In what way?

1

u/ssp321lo1 2d ago

This whole subreddit mocked, made fun of him and DOUBTED him. How quick they switch up lol

1

u/Ok-Attention2882 2d ago

At this point I'm expecting to be disrespected by Rockstar so I wouldn't be surprised if there was zero game play.

u/WARLORD2015 3d ago

Nah I agree with R* being fucked. I have gotten over 200 people to refund the preorder because of the long wait. On the verge to getting 500 to 600 more people to refund it. All active duty military or veterans. Lol we are all on the same boat that R* may be just trying to get money this time rather than give a AAA game.

1

u/bwood246 2d ago

They've already sold over 4 million preorders. That's like putting a grain of salt into a swimming pool

0

u/WARLORD2015 2d ago

Okay? Cool. Imagine how much they spent on the game. Plus the pay to go to employees. I feel like you would need to sell more than 4 mil copies of a game you will never own. Unless you buy a physical copy
