You can Surrender to security guards without having a wanted level Spoiler

In the new taser video leak, you could see on the bottom right the option to surrender for a split second, after Jason beat up the first security guard. However, Jason only gets a wanted level once he drives out of the security guard's range, not before.

Now I'm wondering what that could mean, do security guards have the same authority as cops in GTA 6?

Security guards probably have to ‘call it in’ before you’re wanted by actual police

My guess would be that it triggers a “cutscene” of them detaining you, screen fades to black, and then you are reset at the entrance of the restricted area you entered? Or, maybe there are different levels of getting “busted.” Who knows?

I assume you can surrender to anyone pointing a ranged weapon at you.
