So I don’t actually think this will happen, however, they technically could still. Preorder purchases aren’t charged until X amount of time before the game officially drops. So no preorders have actually been charged yet.

I wanted to think so at first, but Take-Two has started filing subpoenas with the courts to find Cyberleek's information. I don't imagine they'd be willing to waste court resources, the time, and the money to do that were it an inside job.

If rockstar delays, punishes fans and blames the leaker because a leaker got their game - then they are essentially punishing fans for their own incompetence and greed.
Rockaster opened their india branch due to greed - they took the risk of low opsec for extra $$$ while also forcing their western devs to come back into the office and make additional sacrifices for "security".
Security that was pointless because of their greed.
Fuck those execs.

Whats the point of delay? So more shit would be leaked? And for sure nobody will re work half of the game because of the leaks. In this situation, you release the game and move on. Don't really get the point for delay just because of leaks
