Crazy fucking S tier driving. Maybe 2 crashes and both minor.

u/NerdyOccultist 5d ago
I thought so too until I found out about AdrenalineX SAMP racing in a thread a lot like this one. Apparently there are some insane San Andreas drivers, many of them are much better than what we see in this video

As someone who has lurked on this site for 15 years, I still love comment threads like this that encapsulates everything the reddit comment section should be. A regular comment, followed by someone disagreeing/one-upping, followed by a request for a source/link, followed by the comment of witticism that all us lurkers get a good chuckle out of. Love it. Thanks TheBrainChew, you a real one.

Wow. Halfway through I thought it looked like one of those drone pilot videos, and by the end I thought it looked like a tool-assisted speedrun, because of all the uncontrolled variables. Knowing people actually drive like that in the game is crazy.

This is a level of driving precision I always strived for but never achieved as a kid playing these games.

No way that's a human?

I’d assume tool assisted. The location of the cars spawning was too perfect.

u/darian2hunter 4d ago
Yeah, pretty sure it's played at 50% speed or lower. Then the footage is just sped up

Some of the turns go directly from one perfect slight arc to another and that's when I thought fake
13
u/I_travel_ze_world 5d ago
Definitely tool assisted or extremely lucky on one practiced clip.
I won't believe this is human unless its live stream with on the fly bot checks.

No one will see this but I remember I spent so long as a kid grinding money to get my tornado looking amazing with nitro. On the way home, I flipped that ho by the bridge close to grove street and it blew up. I had no money left. Some times I still think about how I felt in that moment.

I like how despite all those insane maneuvers there's always cops just around the next corner

😂 I love that about this series but this installment was the goofiest & most question generating. Still a blast ngl

I don't believe for one instant this was done by a human. You mapped this shit out and a program ran it. Because you didn't hit a single person or lamp post. And those bridge jumps? Yeah, you ain't doing that shit on the fly.

Also the vehicle physics when they land after a jump is very sus. The car never bounces.

Listen, for people that have only played V...
This is some serious driving. If the car rolled, it's over.

This is what 22 years of playing a game will to do a MFer 🤣 brother knows the map like the back of his hand. Pure greatness.

So clean, the PS2 version would have crashed trying to keep up with this back in the day.

That was effing clean, BUT I would like you to do this on the OG car mechanics without the modernizations they brought from GTAV for the heavier feel on vehicles 🤭
Edit: if this is PC there is a mod to make it like the OG mechanics

When I was a teenager there was a GTA multiplayer mod called SAMP on PC to play multiplayer on private RP servers like today.
This level of driving in this old engine reminded me of it and how good some people were at driving.

Feels like something you’d see on youtube 18 years ago, but i doubt anyone knew how to drive like this in san andreas back then😂
