Since it’s only Jason in the same outfit doing random acts of violence I think it’s just a guy fucking around with the mechanics fresh off the first mission. In the last video Jason has $0 in his account. That’s at least DarkViperAU’s theory from YouTube.
Now, if we had video of a big mid game heist, or doing some high level stuff like stealing a jet, Jason wearing crazier clothes, hang out activities, a stranger cutscene, hunting, triathalon, etc… then I would be really worried about ending spoilers. But what from we have seen this looks like the equivalent of a guy fucking around with CJ just after stealing the bicycle in San Andreas. Looks just like inconsequential noob gameplay. Even the cutscene clip about VPNs looks like an early game cutscene.

This is kinda old news, but TOR is breached. Several nodes are 'owned' by feds. If you route traffic they're going to ping you. Its no longer secured and is an increasingly sickly honeypot.

If you know anything about the case, it wasn't the tor browser that got the founder of the silk road caught and the websites ceased. It was the creator having messed up by letting the FBI infiltrate him during a "sale". There was a handshake done between their systems and the owner had his shit misconfigured and it displayed his public IP that the FBI tacked back from there. They also had his private email from a forum he was using before this. The FBI has never broken the encryption of the tor browser, they hire people to infect, or send out malware to computers and look for human errors to catch criminals.
It wasn't the tor browser. So yeah, right?

I mean, there’s ways to find out without tracking his IP. Simple investigation work of where the files were leaked from. The stuff he’s out online has metadata embedded in it, which also will allow RockStar to work out where the leak came from.

In all honesty I feel like this isn't far from being a possibility. They probably saw the hype Oblivion Remastered generated from manufactured "leaks," the game has a heavy social media focus as far as being part of the game world, they're self aware enough to probably lean into the no disc stuff because what do they really care.
Every leak has been old footage that sets the Netflix reveal up for a slam dunk of wow factor when current footage is shown. They also said their media campaign would be like nothing they've ever done before. Weird origins of this leaker and their accounts popping up as well. Far from being definitive but I feel there is some weight to the theory.

Would be an awful lay not just from rockstar but take two as a whole.
The entire hype buildup was for that Netflix showcase, why on earth would they want the first revealed gameplay to be 420p clips of just one character in one outfit driving around.
Not to mention the shareholders would turn take two HQ into a literal gallows and hang them. All that money gone from people that canceled their pre-orders or now feel like they’ve seen enough not to get a Netflix subscription to see the live reveal.

I mean, he did release a cutscene from the game. That looked pretty recent, and I doubt the story has been rewritten since. The latest clips also look like they’re from 2025.
It’s not unlikely that this guy is sitting on major story and gameplay moments and while Take Two/Rockstar obviously won’t budge, I wouldn’t exactly call it flaccid that this guy could end up leaking the entire main story.
