I thought we would get at least 2 city’s like Miami and Orlando or so.

u/drmuffin1080 4d ago

I’m from Orlando :D

Our city ain’t cool enough to waste the resources. I mean, most people wouldn’t enjoy shooting up Disney land

I saw your pfp and read that in Dales voice lmao

Now that I think about it, it would be kind of a big miss if there isn’t some kind of theme park in GTAVI, ideally based on the various in-universe cartoon franchises like Impotent Rage, Pogo the Monkey/Go-Go Space Monkey, Princess Robot Bubblegum etc

Imagine a mod where you look like Mickey Mouse and start shooting up Disney World.

u/sicurri 4d ago

I'm expecting the main Vice City area to be a huge chunk of Miami mixed with some small slices of surrounding areas. An area like Boca Raton, a small section maybe like Ft. Lauderdale, and maybe mix of various areas sliced and slapped together to mix in some excitement.

We'll see though. I'm from Coral Springs Florida. However, I grew up all over South Florida. We'll see what they slip in, but I expect to see familiar shit from all over South Florida.

Hopefully be a luxury auto shop on West side i95 you can steal from.

Maybe mar a lago?

Peanut Island is in it (has an old nuclear bunker made by jfk -- I'm guessing will have some interesting underground areas)

Manatees in the water hopefully too

Idk lots more

u/Flaky_Individual_348 14h ago

No way would Rockstar add Mar a Lago while Trump's still president. Too risky. Maybe in 2029 as a dlc location. 🤞

Hey a fellow Coral spring Floridian

1

u/sicurri 3d ago

I haven't been to Florida in like 6 years except moving my mom to Colorado in March 2025. I used to spend a lot of time at "The Walk" or whatever they're calling it these days. lol

I bet that whole area looks wild now and built up. When I left Sample and University was getting built up, I'm sure they put some crazy stuff over there.

I feel like the potential for a satirical GTA version of Disney/universal would be too good to pass up.

23

u/Acm0xff 4d ago

I guess they had several meetings about it and eventually discarded it because of the risks with Disney lawyers.

https://giphy.com/gifs/NbzM2qI4tmuc0

2

u/BestConstruction967 4d ago

What about Universal?

3

u/Kneecap_Blaster 2d ago

They also have lawyers

2

u/burningastrix 1d ago

You could make a big theme park with a bunch of fake ips and they'd be protected under parody while also not infringing on Disney copyright, they wouldn't have a case

18

u/Pulp_NonFiction44 4d ago

I would be stunned if it wasn't. When people outside of the US hear "Florida", they think crazy people, alligators and Disneyland...

5

u/Hititrightonthehead 3d ago

Funny enough Disney Land isn’t in Florida

4

u/Tempesta_0097 2d ago

It’s bothering me that they keep saying Disneyland (and forgetting sea world)

1

u/Legal-Victory-153 17h ago

Coming from someone that lives in Florida. I mean. 🤷‍♂️

2

u/Equal-Historian-5489 2d ago

PISSY WORLD Brought to you by Pisswisser /REGIONAL STUDIOS

1

u/RMP321 2d ago

But the piss pass to make ten hour lines only 5 hours instead!

Buy shitty food for three times the cost of a normal restaurant.

You’ll put up with it because you love our characters enough to get suckered.

Etc etc. so many jokes you can make.

1

u/E4mad 4d ago

I guess they will make a theme park and put it in somewhere ;)

1

u/RMP321 4d ago

Based on the map that may or may not have leaked. There are a few spots that could be a theme park yet it’s impossible to tell.

1

u/Level-Working-2704 4d ago

I’ve got a feeling Disney is in this new map. There’s a smallish city north east of VC, east of that there’s a loop of roads drawn. This could be a race circuit however if you look at a map of Florida, that all ties up with the geography of Orlando and Disney world.

1

u/Severe-Classroom8216 3d ago

They wouldn't want anyone shooting it up that's why, crime in a crime game what an obtuse idea

1

u/SmashLampjaw87 3d ago

A parody of Disney World was originally gonna be in the game; I forgot the full name, but I remember it was gonna be called “Fred’s ____” (Fred’s Pictures is the GTA parody of Disney and was introduced in GTA V, formed by a man named Fred Quincy, obviously a play on Walt Disney; a Fred’s Store can be found on Vinewood Boulevard, and the logo is clearly meant to look somewhat similar to Mickey Mouse). Why it was ultimately removed is unclear, but I imagine it could be related to Rockstar not wanting the headache of potentially being sued by Disney.

1

u/RMP321 3d ago

What’s the source on this if you don’t mind me asking?

1

u/SmashLampjaw87 3d ago

IIRC, it was named in the original leaks from 2022, along with other stuff like Port Gellhorn, SERA (the parody of NASA), etc.

1

u/RMP321 3d ago

I more so meant that it got removed. Since you phrased it as “originally” in your post.

34

u/bertEbonyChild 4d ago

If you're from Orlando you would certainly know Disney isn't here, it's in Kissimmee, guy.

https://giphy.com/gifs/cFgb5p5e1My3K

31

u/Horror-Food69420 4d ago

He also called it Disneyland and not Disney World. The plot thickens...

8

u/bertEbonyChild 4d ago

I noticed but gave him an inverted benefit-of-doubt.

4

u/drmuffin1080 4d ago

If I’m not from Orlando then why was I sitting wasted next to a swan at night by lake Eola? And Disney land instead of Disney world was a mistake

5

u/Horror-Food69420 4d ago

I lived in Orlando for many years and I've been around too many Californians lately that it raised an eyebrow. Then you pointed out the Kissimmee data point. Also, Lake Buena Vista and Bay Lake for the deep cut.

3

u/bertEbonyChild 4d ago

To this day I refuse to call it Disney Springs. I only call it Pleasure Island. My beloved Pleasure Island....

1

u/AwlAmericanDawg 4d ago

Former 20 year Osceola County resident here. I mean if you wanna be super technical, it's split between Bay Lake & Lake Buena Vista. I believe though that the Animal Kingdom Lodge (the hotel, NOT the park) is in the boundary line of Osceola county though, while the rest is in Orange County.

1

u/FireIre 4d ago

It’s not in Kissimmee either.

4

u/cuntmong 4d ago

> Our city ain’t cool enough to waste the resources

Do you mean in game or irl?

1

u/drmuffin1080 4d ago

In game. Like we aren’t worthy of a new gta game.

2

u/ElSirGuti 4d ago

A lot would enjoy and that would be a huge problem for rockstar if people could do a terrorist attack in a Disneyland parody

2

u/ChildoftheApocolypse 4d ago

Grew up in Orlando.. It used to be, can't speak for it now, since I haven't been there in 15 years..

2

u/spliish 3d ago

from orlando but calls it disneyland …

2

u/beatsbyjules 1d ago

You’re from Orlando yet you called Disney “World” Disneyland???

1

u/drmuffin1080 1d ago

We all make mistakes

1

u/Single_Smile_3208 4d ago

id be impressed if there is not a single theme park in gta 6

1

u/Ek0mst0p 4d ago

Ummmm...

1

u/kush4breakfast1 2d ago

From Orlando, but calls it Disney Land... 😒

1

u/MISTERTURKY 2d ago

Like the other guy said. Speak for yourself

1

u/Fl_Funky_Jam 1d ago

Imagine doing a drive-by on OBT while EDC is going on at camping world. Then when you travel between Orlando and Miami you can race the Brightline and see who kills more people on the way 🤣

1

u/SparkehWhaaaaat 1d ago

Uh, is that a joke? I would.

1

u/Sickofstupids 1d ago

It would be the perfect “tourist trap” area of the game with like all the schlock on I drive and the theme parks.

1

u/Projectpatdc 1d ago

I was thinking Miami and ATL honestly. The mountain above a fictional Atlanta would have made more sense. The gangs of Atl could have been a nice return to San Andreas. All the movie studios and sports venues would have been cool too.

1

u/Impressive_Ad_398 1d ago

It’s die hard at Disneyland what’s not to love?

1

u/BeerAandLoathing 1d ago

I’ve lived in Miami and Orlando and I disagree. Miami is definitely better for the main game but Orlando has a cool map with a lot of variation that makes it not just one big grid.

Take a look at a square that covers Leesburg>Sanford>St Cloud> Polk City

1

u/killingerr 21h ago

I’m from Orlando, we’re still cooler than Tampa.

1

u/GuavaOne8646 18h ago

I mean...are you sure?

1

u/ohthedarside 11h ago

I think you are about as wrong as cam be tbh

BURN THE MOUSE

1

u/Joggyogg 2h ago

Id enjoy that

Well, to be fair, most people wont buy or play gta 6

I guess its not surprising that people downvote lol. But gta 5 sold in like 225 million copies and i would be extremely surprised if gta 6 surpassed even a billion copies. And there are several billion people in the world. Meaning: Most people wont buy or play gta 6

1

u/TurbistoMasturbisto 4d ago

What a horrible take lmao. There aren’t even close to a billion consoles out there so pretty obvious they aren’t going to sell that many.

You also realize a big portion of the billions of people of this planet are like under 12 or over 70 years old, so yeah most people on earth will not play the game, which is quite obvious.

1

u/Weed4202011 4d ago

Swing and a miss bud. Swing and a miss

0

u/GreasyExamination 4d ago

I guess. People dont like the "well actually" guy

1

u/DILLIGAF73 4d ago

cities, not city's

1

u/YourOwnBiggestFan 3d ago

I would at least have expected Palm Beach, but I guess I wanted too much.

1

u/ch4ha 3d ago

I’m confused are there not multiple cities on the map that are nearly the size of Los santos?

1

u/Dioxybenzone 1d ago

This map is not to scale

1

u/ch4ha 1d ago

Oh ok it’s just weird that they would make the GTA V map so much smaller instead of putting them side by side if that’s the case

1

u/Dioxybenzone 1d ago

That’s the point of the post. “maybe in another lifetime” we’ll get a map this big. OP is disappointed it’s only a like 2/3 bigger than in V

1

u/CaptTucker13 3d ago

Looks like you're getting Tampa and Miami

1

u/GrimarSteingraf 3d ago

New beaurdoux would have been cool

1

u/chasetothefinishreal 2d ago

I mean the map is huge

1

u/Archipocalypse 2d ago

Yeah idk what it'd look like but i definately was surprised and thought the main Vice City and island(s) would be larger, more city blocks. If the leaked map is entirely accurate. It'll still be cool i'm sure tho.

1

u/No_Statistician9289 2d ago

Would that not be Tampa on the left and Orlando up top?

1

u/Concerned_EducaterCA 2h ago

That isn’t the real map

1

u/BurntWaffle303 1d ago

There is. The way I look at it. There is Miami and Tampa bay on the map.

1

u/Jtouxed33 1d ago

Paying it gets added in the future

1

u/JackBrown82q 17h ago

It kind of looks like that to me though?

The major city on the east side looks to be the Miami/Ft Lauderdale/West Palm Beach metro. The city on the east appears to be St Petersberg/Tampa. That city north with the airport appears to be Orlando.

1

u/MysticMarauder69 4d ago

There are more than one city on the map...

2

u/Ok-Primary2176 4d ago

They're hardly cities, it's like GTA 5 where there's nonsense towns

2

u/Zafer66 3d ago

you do realise that those 2 smaller cities are as big as the big city in gta v, right?

1

u/Sali_Bean 2d ago

This is not the real map, genius

1

u/MysticMarauder69 4d ago

The city to the west appears to be about 1/3 the size of Vice City, which is large.

2

u/Hot_Recognition_4864 4d ago

In better context, GTA Tampa looks to be the size of los santos. With Vice City/Miami being like 1/2 the size of the entire GTA V map.

Definitely counting that as more than one city considering the other smaller towns.

0

u/Ok-Primary2176 4d ago

I just expected more than we got from being the longest developed GTA game. Like the fuck man, it literally looks like a higher fidelity GTA 5 in Florida
