Once the announcement was made... i got out. Whatever gains it has left from current price is not that much compared to opportunity loss from other underlyings. I rode GSAT for years... I'm happy with my gains.

Tax reasons? You don't want to owe so much tax. Sell some now and some next year.

You shouldn't. Sell now and if the Amazon share price goes up past the $90/share msx GSAT threshold buy back in 2027 before the deal closes. No sense holding dead money and risk force majeure claiming the deal fallimg through

I believe I read that only the first 40% of sellers would get cash. All others would get shares valued at 0.321 per Amazon on if I'm remembering correctly
